Both boys went into the trades, one welding, other roofing, but he didn’t like it so now he’s studying to be a pharmacist assistant.
She’s the first to truly pick up roots and relocate. My wife is a mess right now.

Our oldest stayed home and did her university locally. Just finished her 6th year in the spring and starting her full time position as a music teacher on the 26th. Currently engaged and will move out next year once she’s married. This year her focus is to pay off her student loans.

Congrats on the recent blessings with your oldest.
I’ll just count my blessings that’s mine’s only 2.5 hours away. But this semester’s schedule won’t play nice for her weekend visits. She also is a timid driver so hasn’t done the trip herself yet. The traffic does get a bit hairy in that area.
Her old high school doesn’t have an art teacher right now. I am hoping they don’t fill the spot for a few more years until she gets done with college. Would be so cool for her to teach in her old school (and have her near home).
We have a son in high school. Couple more years left there. No idea what he’s planning to do yet. Not sure what the demand is for professional video game player…

2.5 hours would be a cake walk for travel to go visit her on a weekend. We would just pull the camper up there with the 7.3 for our rolling hotel.

This is a very long drive.
We drove down to Florida today to visit a family member before they go back home out west. We weren't in the state for 5 minutes and it was sunny, rained and was sunny again...
Also, there was a tweaker waving a plastic sword and a cardboard shield. The shield and his shirt were painted with a red Templar cross.
I cannot forget to mention the demon mask he was wearing on his face...

Spent some time on the phone today with a friend in Seattle. His shop was broken into and (2) cars (Porsche and Mercedes) were stolen along with 10’s of 1000’s in tools. The police are even more useless now that they’ve been defunded (50% budget cut), but even if they were interested in solving crime, the criminals don’t go to jail ‘because COVID’. Basically the many ‘encampments’ of homeless tweakers prey on the rest of their environment like rats. My friend found and recovered both cars himself and is constantly driving through the tweakerville’s now offering $1500 for info about his stolen stuff. He says there are no city/county parks left that aren’t riddled with human feces and wreaking like urine and he picks up a bucket full of used needles and tin foil from around his business every few days... It’s BAD and getting significantly worse all the time. Don’t expect to hear that in the news though. I’m practically begging him to do a documentary because he is a brilliant writer and great photographer.
