Victoria Day folks!
Here it`s against the law to disobey a detour sign and if it`s like that in Calgary all the CPS would have to do is to start writing tickets. Peeps would soon get the hint.
Nothing like 27 here this week, only hi teens and low 20`s.
I forget, what do you have for motorcycles Colin?
What`s your plans for today John, Grant? I`m hanging around home, cutting more grass and detailing some of my vehicles.
Happy fire cracker day to you too Gerry.
Just been cleaning up in the shop and throwing stuff out I no longer need and my wife is doing the some in the house. It's amazing how things pile up after awhile..
I finally got the truck loaded and just have to tie it off, could have put more on but I like to keep my loads under the roof line. Will be interesting to find out how heavy and what its worth tomorrow.
We have a Police Service not a Police Department, which means that they answer to themselves and not to City Council like a Department of the City would.
Tuesday is our hot day, from then on we get to cool off with a bit of rain, will be nice.
Having loads above the roof line does draw unwanted attention!
We have a Police Service that`s run by the Saskatoon City Council, guess every jurisdiction has different rules.
It`s only 22°C and very sunny and to me it feels hotter, guess I haven`t gotten climatised to summer yet.
50 years of collecting stuff on a large farm yard with 4 sheds, 7 garages, a large barn and 2 shops can get pretty overwhelming.
Are you one of those guys that have a hard time letting go of stuff..? I wouldn't mind another project just to keep myself busy. Since I've been waiting to paint these doors and running boards I'm bored to tears..problem is I can't afford to start with anything that's going to set me back too much..
You need a Jalopy to work on John, they keep you busy and cost you next to nothing for parts as you can put on whatever works at the time. Just make it nice enough and safe enough to bum around with.
I did a history search on the CPS contracts with the city and this agreement goes back to the days of the North West Mounted Police. The idea was to keep the Police independent of city politics and management and made policing a business unto itself, it also kept the federal government from sending in their own police forces. After the Louis Riel fiasco, a lot of the settlements in Alberta made sure they were chartered and had a way of protecting themselves. Nowadays you would have to have your own police force in order to bid on the contract and that'll never happen, plus it keeps the federal police, RCMP, at bay.
Already 25 here today, got the grass watered and the cats are fed so my chores are done, ice cream time.
We're already getting a weather warning for Wednesday and Thursday, its supposed to hit Saskatchewan thursday and friday. Lots and lots of rain, cool temps and possibility of overnight S word

That describes me to a T!
I`ve sold off the better ones John in the last 3-4 yrs. Now I just have a half dozen or so 53-56 parts trucks which I`m hanging on to till mine, if they ever do, get finished.
Every time I get involved with any kind of a jalopy it usually costs me an arm and a leg Perry.
That`s an interesting police story Perry.

Deck plans went south when my drill crapped out. Oh well next weekend.
Even your wife`s bike is bigger than my 750 Shadow Colin.
