So what are everyone's weekend plans? The past two weekends have been crazy and every weekend is booked into June, so this is our last chance to relax and chill. I've got four whole cluckers in my garage fridge waiting to be smoked on Sunday, so watch for those pics. Tomorrow is a dump run I think and grocery shopping. Maybe a softball game if the weather holds...
The beginning of your post almost sounded like an invite to your place......
I am going to be bleeding and changing brake fluid in the 6oh and the wife's Mazda 6. Then I get to do some landscaping/hardscaping.
In a wedding on Saturday, then hopefully just work around the house Sunday. Trying to get the downstairs of our new place presentable before the wife hosts a baby shower at the end of the month. Hopefully I'll have some time to get out and mow again if the weather permits. Our new place is on half an acre so I've got a new Cub Cadet riding mower I get to go drive around. I have a blast and it makes pretty quick work with the mulching blades.
Also hope to have some time to set up the garage. By the end of the month I will need to get my left garage bay cleared out and ready for vehicle servicing because I'll have a new Arcan 3.5 ton floor jack and 4 new 12-ton jack stands to put the Ex up in the air and install a Power Stop Z36 kit, change oil, spark plugs/boots/springs, and rotate the tires before we start towing the trailer around this spring.
Turbo (brother-in-law) is gonna be helping me with those projects when he can.
Maybe I'll even get around to blowing out my coolant lines with my compressor since my rear HVAC is STILL TORN APART in the back of my Ex LOL
Just waiting on 2 more calipers that are coming from Ohio instead of Nevada.
Also, DAMN it was a beautiful day today! I took the Ex around for some errands and then I did the 203 trip from Monroe to Fall City in my '16 Accord Sport in the sunshine.
I think that the contagious brake diseases is going round.
I had a caliper lock up for a short while. So I ordered the back
hose set and will do both sides in a week or so. At that time I
will also install the new backing plates, hardware and shoes.
Front calipers are the same price all the way around $75 each.
It's the core charge that is strange. $75 for the rear and $90
for the front.
@NW Over torque the plugs to 22+ ft-lbs. Did you use a 5% discount for Rock-Auto? You can enter them in the "How Did you hear about us" box.
Started installing new rubber exhaust insulaters last night, one more left today, also have to coolant flush and install new serpentine belt on the Wife's Toyota.
Do any of you guys have the Motive pressure bleeder? Will be ordering one soon, need to update to PMF stainless lines and new front caliper's.

No pressure bleeder and I would like one. But I do have a Mityvac vacuum bleeder and also one of the venturi compressor driver ones that has the larger catch
bucket for doing the truck. I got tired of having to stop and empty the catch can. The larger bucket is so much better. Granted I still have to empty it part
way through a full bleeding job. That truck takes 2 quarts to do a full flush. I found that it also comes in handy when doing the fuel filters. Just add a heavy
PTFE tube to the bleeder adaptor and you can suck out all the diesel and any thing that falls off the filter.

I believe you on the plugs and had every intention to do so.
Forgot about the 5% discount. Next time (there will be a next time lol)
Motive pressure bleeder? Sounds like another tool I should probably buy while I'm on this roll =P
@NW forgot to mention those Arcan floor jacks are awesome, I have a red 3.5 from Costco still going strong and picked up a second 3 ton HJ from Costco last year.

Yeah the family has a few Arcans already so there was only ONE brand I was considering for my floor jack that has to lift my behemoth without dropping it haha

Yesterday I got my garage orderly enough to try fitting the Ex into the long bay. It's a tighter fit that I hoped, but I think I've got enough room to put it on jack stands and have all four tires off at once. For work under the rig there is plenty of room to go up, so that's great. Seems I should have enough room for my grandpa's '65 Chevy C10 when I bring that up to restore. That's the main rig I hope to be able to work on in the garage.
