I bet that is right. The probes are only a food grade thermocouple.
I bet my Fluke has more accuracy and repeatability.
It was the probe that gave out on my cheap one. Good thing I saved the
paperwork with the warrantee info. Went back into Lowes to a replacement
and they were out of them. They gave me the option of waiting or my
money back. I went with my money back on that one. They did not even have
anything in the store that had more than 1 probe.
So right now I am using an instant read piercing probe type that I used to
use for checking that the hot water they were using in some of the fast
food places at the airport were up to the requirements. I just can't leave it
in place when cooling the heat would kill it and I don't like the taste of
plastic and battery with my food.
As for what I didn't get done today. I just could not generate enough
ambition to start on the brake job. I did get the garage cleaned up some
and not it will be easy to get the back half of the truck in so I am out of
any rain on Sunday. If I don't jump in and do the full job I will at least
install the new calipers so I can get the core deposit back.
Didn't get to any excursion work this weekend. I need a full weekend to allow myself to screw something up and not be out a vehicle come Monday. Instead, I set my bonus room up and re-ran coax cable to the same room from the main line in the attic so I've got possible tv/internet access points upstairs and downstairs. That stuff is more in my area of expertise so I can start it late and know I'll finish lol.
Reman rear calipers are in and all is well.
Whit the truck that is. I screwed up one tendon
in each hand. Can't make a fist without flying
the bird. Guess I am really falling apart. Now I
need to go see the hand surgeon too.
....................
I want an extended warrantee plan for my body.
Yeah, well you know the company that would provide that kind of warranty probably wouldn't stand behind it when needing to use it like the do to our trucks............
