Epic,
I imagine that you have already seen the file that the 2015+ F150 group has created?
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...730/edit#gid=0

There may be a number of items which overlap seeing that many functions are similar between the two cabins. Just wanted to share this.

For those interested there is a big write-up found here:
ForScan - F150

Anybody want to test these codes? I am a little leery about trying them on my truck. I can see it "how did you fry your computer".

I will be testing everyone of the F-150 theories as soon as my new F-350 arrives. My current 2016 F-150 Plat all of them work great, plus fusion and mustangs all have some of these same codes, so it isnt likely you can even mess up your trucks computers. I have done some crazy testing on my F150 and as long as you have a backup of your original data you can restore everything back to factory in a pinch.

Excited to do testing!

Got my adapter hooked up finally..

Double horn honk = gone
Fog lights + high beams = enabled

For some reason, I could never write to IPC module at all, I attempted disabling door ajar alarms (720-01-02 on f150) and driver seat belt minder (720-01-01 on f150), and it just wouldn't let me write period, it'd get to 50% and quit.

I tried to set the power point timeout on 726-39-01, that gave me an actual config error.

I also set 'auto relock' on BCM to 45 seconds at 726-15-02 (f150 codes), it took the code.. but doesn't appear to actually work.

What adapter are you using? OBD Link MX?

If its an old PC does it have its own bluetooth? Or are you using an external dongle? A lot of people have reported having issues with bluetooth drivers with old PC's. And the easiest is typically just buy a new bluetooth chip and use it. It may help for you?!?

An external BT dongle will work fine.

it does have built in Bluetooth. I mean, it's a Lenovo t530, I suppose it's 3 years old laptop).

Everything else seemed to work fine, just IPC module can't be written to. Not sure, has anyone successfully modified a IPC parameter ? Does it matter if the engine was running ?

I do believe the key is supposed to be in the run position without the engine running.

is there a reason you guys are going with the bluetooth version over the USB to use with a laptop?

https://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-4261...k+mx+scan+tool

And OBD Link has multiple versions, anyone know what the difference is?
