There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Only, this is hex, and is much more confusing.
Hex is simple and concise compared to the antiquate base 10 system we use because we have 10 fingers. The entire world of technology around us is using hex.

It's not simple and concise when you have to throw in letters to accommodate your system in order to represent numbers that work perfectly fine without letters.
I understand hex and binary, but neither is simpler than decimal for the average person to understand.
IF you lower the TPMS setting to reduce the tire pressure when unloaded, do you reset it to the factory setting for the higher tire pressures when you load your truck again? Or just leave it at the new setting.
Rodney, I started browsing the Forscan Forum after acceptance and will pull the plug on both the reader and a new laptop. Old laptop has been in the recycle bin for a few years now and have not really had use for one since the advent of the smartphones for mobile reference.
Question which I did not find an answer to is the ability to reprogram the distance to empty and set the fuel gauge to read empty when the tank is empty instead of the built in safety factor of 6-8 gallons. Thought maybe you had seen it and I don't need how to, just is it available. Thanks.
Has anybody figured out if we can reprogram the distance to empty and set the fuel gauge to read empty when the tank is empty instead of the built in safety factor of 6-8 gallons.
Thanks,

If anyone with this software is passing through Oregon anytime soon I will pay $$$ to have someone lower my TPMS threshold. This is all too confusing for me

Another option to connect those who know with those that don't is a program called Team Viewer. It would allow a remote user access to your laptop while it's running Forscan and linked to your BT adapter. The remote Forscan pro volunteer could then make the changes for you. It's like when you get support from Dell and they have control of your screen. Once it's done you can delete Team Viewer or delete the one time password you gave them so you don't have to worry about future security. This is the same program the Indian IRS scammers and fake Indian Microsoft techs use to steal from folks. However, it was certainly not designed for that use. BMW users on the two main BMW forums have used it for years to help each other "code" their cars and SUVs. Plus, as you watch the person do it on your screen, you learn and might not need them next time...
