Does anyone know of any adapters that are Bluetooth and iPhone compatible? I have an old GoPoint BT1a that works great for reading codes, but will not work with FOREScan. I would rather have one that I can use with FOREScan, but also use my iPhone to read codes when on the road. I've done some searching and just about everything points to the ScanTool MX, but that doesnt work with iPhone.
No, the BT is locked in iOS. So, for an iPhone you can only use a WiFi adapter. That said, the version of Forscan for the iPhone, Forscan Lite, can only read and not make any changes. You need a Windows based computer or tablet for that.
We're in the same boat on this. I also run an iPhone so I have two adapters. A cheap ELM327 WiFi to keep in the truck for code reading and reset via the phone while out on the road. Then the BT adapter for using Forscan to make changes.

I was hoping to have just one adapter so that I could at least read codes and get some graphs while out and about. I guess I will have to keep my existing one for on the road and order the ScanTool for writing. Just hate to see me have to have two modules when one properly made one could make me happy. Heck the Windows PC requirement is enough to cause heartburn. Of the 4 computers at home at this point none are Windows. I'll have to revert to a work laptop.
I hear you. The good news is the WiFi ones are super cheap. $10-15. For the Windows requirement, I run Windows in Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro as I too no longer have a PC.
Yes, the MX is the guaranteed to work one. I'm hoping we get as much info here as the F150 guys have at some point. They've just had longer to play with it so they have more insight at this point.
wonder if somebody rents '17 super dutys.. could try all the codes
You can try them on any truck without worry. That's how the F150 guys figured everything out. If it causes an issue and throws a CEL, you back out the change, clear the code, and it's like it never happened. You can't brick your truck despite what some irrationally fear...

I'm not so worried about bricking any of the modules as setting something and not realizing the full changes it made until some bad moment. Like finding out I modified the ranging of BLISS at the same time as making the beep for it louder, or something .
I do plan to try most of the 150 items when I get back home in a week. Need to find out why writes are failing to one module and not others. Never got back to trying it with engine off.

if you figure out some good ones post them on here. I'm not sure if the 150 are compatible with the 350. I know some of the settings are different
I just did the fog lights with low beams which works great. Also set the timeout for the 12V. Haven't tested to see if that one works or not yet. I found that one in the F150 spreadsheet.
Will this ScanTool WiFi adapter work the same as the bluetooth you all talk about? I am hoping I can just use my PC instead of having to buy a laptop. I park in my garage next to my office so I think the Wifi would not be a problem. Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OCYXTYY?ref=emc_b_5_t

Seems like I remember reading the WIFI adapter wont work for the Superduty. As another alternative, if your garage spot is within 10 meters from your desktop computer (bluetooth limitations), just buy a USB bluetooth adapter for your desktop and connect to the Bluetooth ScanTool. Then you can program from the desk.
You could also just borrow a friend's laptop or tablet.
