I can't find my sledge hammer, probably sold it when we moved, most likely sold my collins axe too (Yes I used to split wood with an axe). I only got one load of Hickory, and I"m hoping that it splits decent since it's still "Green".
If your up to a little wood work, then since the weather is supposed to be nice, I'll have a log splitter lined up. Throw some kind on dead animal on the grill/smoker, and I'm sure I can come up with something cold to drink. Your welcome to bring Mary if you'd like, but if I remember right, she isn't a fan of popping a top.

She is not. However, if she does decide to come, then I will probably skip the brews. I need to run over to her place this evening, pick up one more piece from the Honda to take in, I believe it was a trunk cover, so I can take it in tomorrow during my lunch break.

Just let me know when you will have the splitter lined up. I'll see what's going on.

It has begun!

Our Christmas light stringing has officially begun
Nothing on or in the house, but on a 10' PVC Christmas tree that Tim and I made last summer.
The lights will spin in two different directions, and change four different colors, Red, White, Blue, Green.
There are 3,250 lights on it

Hey Bob, I can give you a couple hours Wed. and/or Thur. while my kids are in school, whether you have a sledge and awe, big ax, or a wood splitter, don't matter to me. I don't have anything for splitting (I should probably go get an ax, every guy should have at least one right?), I have a chain saw, that's about it. Let me know.

I appreciate that offer Matt
I need to check n the funding, and see when I can get a splitter rented.
A chain saw would be handy too. Several of these logs need to be cut shorter for what I want to do with them.

What a interesting night....

So I meet the wife in Morehead tonight to pick up a few things for our "Halloween costumes". As I pulled into walmart the volvo broke the Ps/water pump belt. So had the wife run me to Autozone picked up a belt and it's to freaking short. So I got fed up and left it there, AAA will will tow it here tomorrow and I'll just have to measure it for a new one since everyone shows the same size belt.

Then I kick the dogs out the back door for there evening bathroom trip and let them back in about 5 minutes later and Remington my 6 year old lab is no where to be found. So after 30 minutes of riding around in the dark hollering for him hoping I didn't get shot at I found him about a half mile down the road headed towards home.

Fantastic night, but atleast Remi is home safe.

The weeks groceries are done, neck has been fed, and I have a log splitter reserved for tomorrow.
Thanks for coming out tomorrow Matt
We'll get his wood split, then take Ka'Bluey out to get some lunch. I'm buying.

Spiral Tree

Here's a short video of our Spiral Tree we're adding for our Christmas Light Display this year.
The video quality sucks, but it really isn't too awful bad in person.
We also have a facebook page @ Wheeldon Family Lights

Got the car home, thrashed to get a new set of belts on it, and after a second trip to autozone got a belt that was a bit tighy, but worked (PS pump adjustment doesn't work). Also got a new alternator belt on, so I guess we will see tomorrow when I head to work.

Thanks Tony, there's some tweeking to do on it yet, but we were pleased with our trial run, and using the two used controllers that we bought earlier this year.
We still need to straighten up the strings, get the tree topper going, and we have strobe lights to add still too.

Y'all have a great day. Time to go pick up the log splitter I have reserved for this morning. Matt should be here in the next 45 minutes or so.
