Any of y'all deal with car stereo shops that you like
I'm going to pull the trigger and get the low end factory stereo out of the 2013. It just sucks, and I really miss my Sirius that I've had for over a decade.
I have no idea what single and double din even means (Yeah it's been a while since I've bought a car stereo). I will have to have the face plate replaced, and want to keep the steering wheel controls, bluetooth for the Sync, and single cd is fine...
I'm not worried about the speakers right now, they really don't sound too bad, it the wussy stereo that needs to go.
This weekend might be a possibility. It would be a little short notice for everyone, but I don't think I have a whole lot going on. However I do have to make sure Mary hasn't made plans for us yet. Next Saturday (19th) is the cookout in Garner. I hope you can make that. How did your transmission job go on the Carolina Blue truck?

Bob, it's certainly been a while since I have dealt with stereos. the DIN is just the height of the head-unit. Crutchfield used to be the place to go to research this. I do know that you can get a 'steering wheel control adapter' to use some if not all of the steering wheel controls, at least for most vehicles. I'd suspect the F150 would fall into the most category.

Tranny is basically done and awaiting install. I have a '95 block that I've been working on. It's back from the machine shop (Boyettes) and I have all the parts, just need to assemble. Planning on pulling the old 300/NP435 and installing the new 300/4R70W sometime before Xmas.
I told them my budget and what I wanted. They met my goals and did a great job on the install. This was recently for my daughter's car.
If you don't give them a budget they will push you into a higher price bracket. But they all do that.
I used to go to Radio-Active but have since moved on to High Output and have been very satisfied.
That was the first place I called, since we used them to put a remote start in Shari's 08 Escape.
For the stereo I picked out, and them installing it, it was almost $1000.
So I spent some time with Crutchfield on the phone, and I can get the same stuff for $655 and install it myself, and I've put a few stereo's in.
That face plate for the dash, is $300 by itself. Then the wire harnesses to use the steering wheel controls, Sync, and Blue tooth all added up another lump of cash.

Are you starting on your NIMS, National Incident Management System?
Yes, it's a couple different courses. Getting 1403, and everything required to suit up and fight a interior structure fire.
Next week we start the practicals, I probably won't be worth a crap at work the next day after 3 hours suited up in turn out gear and a bottle on my back.

My neighbor back home (full time firefighter) told me I'll either hate it, or love it.
I didn't hate it
I remember the first time I put on all of the turn out gear, and put my SCBA. I thought my heart was going to come out, Man I was stoked!

Good Saturday morning to everyone. I've got my coffee and started this weekends chores. The room I used to rent out has got the first coat of paint on it, it'll get a second next week, and then it's on to replacing the floor in the Kitchen. Right now, the house came with those 12 in sticky tiles. Well the years haven't been good to them and it just constantly looks dirty, and is tough to clean due to the tiles shifting. So I'm trying to learn about flooring now. I can't tell the difference between vinyl, and laminate.
I'm thinking I want to go with a wood like finish but much lighter than what is in there or the cabinets. If any of ya'll know the differences in flooring types and such and what to use with what, I'd sure appreciate a crash course.
So this morning my trucks fuel pump decided to quit, i got a quote from a new garage right up the road and decided it was worth the money to just let them change the pump and 2 used tires to replace the 2 slick ones on it.
Also picked up a used washer/dryer for a $100, then we upgraded to new phones my old Samsung S4 had about had it after 2 years.
