It definitely was, so far today is the first time I have managed to stay dry! Got soaked doing the Batchelor party Thursday, got soaked setting some stuff up Friday, and got super wet yesterday getting everything ready.
But it was all worth it to see 2 great friends get hitched.
I don't know how much rain we ended up getting, but I've had enough of it.
No damage here, just some small limbs down in the area, and the yard will be wet for a long time.
Had to go out and get a current all driveway.
now all you need is blue, red and orange to complete the color scheme of each in the driveway lol
Man I played hell trying to get home from work yesterday morning, they had 40 closed off in JoCo because of flooding, so I had to take the 70 bypass, then every back road I tried to get down was flooded!
I'm liking this weather that the hurricane left us with. I shut the AC off yesterday morning and opened up wimdows. It was a nice brisk 65 degrees in the house this morning. Supposed to get down to 50 or so tonight, saying the high right around 72 all week. Saturday will kick off the first day of rifle season, I'm beyond ready for that.
I'm with you on that Larry! We've had the A/C off for almost a week, and windows open during the daytime. And spent most of the weekend afternoon on the front porch. Yes even when it was raining. I'm sure ready for this cooler weather.

Mary and I made it back from Richmond on Sunday. My cousin got married, with a lot of rain, which was to be expected. We had family in from England, Canada, and Abu Dhabi. Spent Friday night out with Family until about 3 o'clock, mostly at the pub across from the hotel in down town Richmond. Had a great time.
The drive back, the GPS was showing a whole lot of roads closed, but ignoring that, I found that most of 95 was good, until 64, then did a little back road hopping through Wendell to get over to Raleigh area. The house was fine, not nearly as much flooding as I expected, though the neighbor has a huge tree down. I've just got a lot of small branches to pick up, and tons of the ******* pinestraw to deal with... again. I haven't even unloaded the last trailer load of the stuff. The girl that house sat and stayed with the kitties while I was out of town, said power went out, and ended up going home on Saturday so she could get some homework done. Thank fully it was back on by the time Mary and I got back from the wedding.
All in all I am very thankful for getting through the weekend with as little damage and extra work as I do have.
Finally found the issue with my trailer light fuse blowing, it the car trailer, the harness has damage. Guess I owe my friend an apology, since it wasn't the little trailer blowing the fuse, however, when you have the reputation, it's easy to jump to conclusions.
*****, people were driving through that? Hopefully they didn't get stuck.
Bob, I'm going to be mouting a winch on a jeep this afternoon around 4-4:30 if you are bored. I haven't heard any news on 10-10 road though, so i don't know if it's open between Apex and 401. After that I've got some tie down points to mount on the little trailer (its already in the shop) then may pull in the big trailer to take a look at the wiring or the TJ to do the oil change and check the toe. But not planning to stay out there late tonight.
Yea I had a **** load of branches down, picked most of the big ones up today. The small ones I'm going to let the mower and bagger take care of. I even set the big ones on fire today, even with the 20 mph winds. Figured it was so wet I didn't have to worry about it spreading anyways....
Glad everyone is OK. I sure hope the campground isn't under water this weekend.
Not much flooding around here. We did hit a power-line that was hanging about 5' over the roadway going to check on the wife's parents. No damage or injuries, but it sure scared the heck out of us. We called the power company and let them know before a motorcyclist went through there and got decapitated. A lot of good it did, the line is still hanging there today.
