My phone does decent video, it's just taking video in really low lighting, and most times, those lights my be on for 1/10 of a second, and the phone just can't focus that fast.
We are working on the audio to the drone video. It's the best video that we have, hands down.

Dec 16th will be my last day of work for the year, then I will go back on January 3rd. So those 2 weeks will be spent hunting everyday.

Dec 16th is also my works Christmas karaoke party, with a open bar. Then Dec 17th will be the fire department Christmas party. The last 2 weeks of the year is going to be vacation, but won't be any relax time.

In other news I just booked nearly two weeks off in December. I really need to take more vacations through out the year and not burn them all in December. Oh well, perhaps it will be a good time to start on replacing the kitchen floor that I so hate here. Been looking at saws, and holy heck. A mitre saw is going to nearly double the cost of the project!!!
Not if you get one from Harbor Freight!

When I put new laminate flooring in the first house we bought, I spent about $200 for an (at the time) high end Craftsman Mitre saw, yes that's been a few years. Something else that was some at our moving sale.
Most of the tools that I've looked at on craigslist, people are wanting almost new prices. But it's worth the look.
We did laminate, and ceramic both in that house.

The quality of that tool is bottom of the barrel. I've bought an electric impact, electric grinder, and a heat gun. All were taken back. I will go to Harbour Freight for wire connectors, and zip ties, that's about it.

Larry, enjoy your time off. Let us know how the hunting goes!

Hadn't thought of Harbor Frieght. I'll have to check them out. I'm sorely behind on my wood working tools as I've focused on mechanics tools for so long. A crosscut saw and circular saw have been more than enough for me over the years. Throw in the two free table saws I have and I've got too many saws now. I may just see if I can borrow one, as I don't know if I really need a 200 dollar saw laying around that I won't use but twice a year. Might hit Lowes up this weekend to do some comparison pricing on the laminate floor.

I looked into vinyl and it looks great, and is super thin, and looks like it would be pretty easy to cut. However due to the thin design, I really don't think it's going to hold up well in an old house that could have some soft spots on the floors, like under the refrigerator.

I buy all my grinders from Harbor Freight. I get ~3 years out of them before they end up like this. A more expensive better quality one would last longer for sure but $20 goes down a lot easier than $90

I'll stick with my DeWalts, and my Craftsman tools and not have to go another one for a decade or so.

why pay 20??? they have them on sale all the time for $10... thats when i get mine... last one lasted me 3 years and im not nice to them at all... the drill master ones (which are typically the ones on sale) held up better to the abuse than those chicago electric ones did.. HF claims theyre the same but i killed 2 of the CE ones w/in 6 months...

which to be honest all i need to get the one that "burned" out going again is a set of new brushes...

Bob, I have a GoPro Hero4, full 1080p video. You are welcome to play with. Thinking about bringing my mom by to watch the show one night soon.

I haven't even thought about the GoPro.
Come on out sometime, as long as it hasn't been raining hard the lights should be on.
Hollar if you make it out this way.

I've found them on sale for $15 but never for $10 (when I was looking!). My daughter worked at Lowes, in tool world, and got me a nice expensive one. I told her please take it back and save your money I'd hate to destroy one that cost $89 and the way I beat them I'd rather destroy the cheap ones, so she returned it and got me a pretty awesome rechargeable drill instead

I officially asked Santa for new speakers to go with the new stereo I put in the truck. Not sure what I want exactly. This stuff has changed so much since I replaced a nice factory stereo.
I'd like to replace the tweeters in the pillars too, and the idea of a sub doesn't sound too awful.
If any of you have been through this, what did you go with, and price ranges too. I have some points through Crutchfield for the stereo purchase that will help a little bit.
It looks like I can use 5 1/4" round, or 6x8 for the doors. Does it make a difference in the shape, does one produce better bass than the other???

I tell you a few years back I had to replace the speakers in my Audi, they originally came with a Bose system which was top notch, but 10 years of metal had left them buzzing whenever the bass hit. I replaced them with Alpine brand from Crutchfield and they sounded as clear and loud as I ever remembered the Bose speakers sounding. The price was not too bad either around $100 a pair for component system (front doors) and $75 for the 3 way backdoor speakers. I did not replace my sub but I sure would be willing to add one if my car didn't have it, it really helps fill in the bottom end and saves some wear and tear by you not having to crank the bass up as much on the other speakers to make up the low side.
