I did get the old stereo out of the truck, and had it in the house in less than 30 minutes. But UPS didn't get here until this evening, so I'll install the new stereo tomorrow. Talk about a lot of wires and modules....
What a mess.
already been there... ppl are selling them for almost what they are new from Ford... but got a friend helping me out... hes going to get it for me almost half and still be a new one...
I'm hoping to hear my new stereo today, unless i get overwhelmed by all of the stuff/wires again. I started to work on wires yesterday evening, and called it a loss. So back at it after I get coffee finished, and see what the day brings.
At least the weather is on our side...
Y'all have a good day, be safe
Larry, what the heck happened? Did you get hosed with fuel or doused.
Hosed.
We were transferring tanks and the guy didn't correctly shut his valves down. When. I went to disconnect our 3" line from there tanks and got hit in the chest with a full 3" pipe. It was basically waste fuel, Jp5 and used oil.
I did get my stereo in today. It took an hour with Crutchfields, and they have a FANTASTIC, tech support. It's going, sounds great, play's DVD's, I know, but it's built it, so what the heck huh!
I'm going to take the faceplate off again (another day, or week/month) and line the stereo up better, and bring it out a little too, so it'll have a little cleaner look to it.
But, it is in and working!
Beer frame!
Bob I've used crutchfield at least a dozen times in the past 20 years and always been pleased with their kits, all the connectors, instructions, and tech support. Congrats on the install.
You know how you were telling us how much work goes into programming your Christmas lights to match each individual song? Well here's some Metallica Christmas lights, try to make this one!

Well for some reason it doesn't look like it wants to accept the link. If you go to facebook and type "video 924513387601890" in the search bar it should come up.

I'm really pleased with my first Crutchfield purchase.
Yes our lights each song, so no two are the same.
I was able to see that video just fine, not a Metallica fan, and it looks like they had almost everything flash at the same time. That's a lot easier than matching each note in a song to a different channel/light.
I hope you all get a chance to see our display this year.
If, this works, it's a video from last Christmas. We've worked our sound better for this year, and also use an FM transmitter so the music can be heard in the car.
Bob, Do not watch that while you are drinking heavily. but it is cool as hell. Yes I know it's only 9 am but, you cant drink all day if you don't start in the morning. Happy Saturday to everyone.
