Fall 2016 General BS Thread
Glad to help out. I really miss the days of tinkering everyday. I still do enjoy helping folks when I can. I learned a long time ago to take my time and walk away when things start going downhill. Today I'm gutting the plywood out of the cargo trailer to get the Polyiso installed. I sure hate to mess up a good job that the factory did installing it but hopefully I can get it back the way it is. Wish me luck.
Be Good Folks!!!
When we got home I started hooking up the free hot tub we got a couple weeks ago. I got the wire ran to it, and hooked up the wiring then got the hot tub put back together. Now I just need to punch a hole out in the breaker box, and swing by lowes to pickup a new breaker. Then I guess start cleaning up the hot tub, then fill it and see how it works.

In other news Wes learned about cutting XPS and Polyiso foam board with a pizza cutter...lol.
Right now I'm about at a stand still until I can find some Seamer Mate. It seems that Home Depot hasn't got it anymore or something. I've been using that stuff for about 20 yrs for everything and now I may not be able to get it anymore. It was their best kept secret and they didn't even know it. I guess that if they have a single product that only sells for 5 or 6 bucks a tube they can't justify that overpriced silicone that only sticks to itself and nothing else.

Be Good!
Larry, that's one cute little pup.
We were out of town most of the time and had a really nice visit with friends and family. Did some hunting and put some meat in the freezer. Steamed a bushel of oysters and cooked steaks on the grill for a good crowd Friday. Went to a ham radio meeting down east and met some new elmers on Saturday. Had another cookout at Kim's folks Saturday night. Came home Sunday and unpacked and got out all the outdoor Christmas stuff and set it up and went and got a tree with the family. Whew. I need a vacation.

Yall have a good week.
My digital camera is ancient. We bought it new years ago, it's a 3.1 megapixle if that gives you any idea that we don't buy cameras often.
I have a few videos on my cell phone, but with the low lighting, and lights literally being on for 1/10th of a second at times, it just can't even begin to focus.
I made it to Texas and back. Well I did, my luggage took an extra day. But as I told the lady at the counter when i reported it missing. Sure could have been a lot worse things that can happen on a flight these days. Got to meet all of Mary's family, and I felt like a giant among midgets. Short really does run in her family. Her dad ended up being really great, and cornering me every chance he got to talk mechanics. He has built his own plane, which he recently sold due to a heart condition. Her brother and I also sat down and had a nice little jam session. The boy is good with a four or six string, better than I am. May even be in *****'s league. "I here that train a-comin' she's rollin round the bend..."
Bob, wish I had a decent camera but nada. How about getting Tim to tape it from the drone up high? that would be a different and interesting view of Christmas lights.
Tony, we really do need pictures to see what the lights looks like. You too James.
Glad to hear everyone survived the first Holiday of the season!
You would need some type of movie software. Some of the drone's come with it, some do not. I have no recommendations on what is good\free\easy to use as I am not much of a camera person.
In other news I just booked nearly two weeks off in December. I really need to take more vacations through out the year and not burn them all in December. Oh well, perhaps it will be a good time to start on replacing the kitchen floor that I so hate here. Been looking at saws, and holy heck. A mitre saw is going to nearly double the cost of the project!!!

Bob, I would think a new phone would have decent enough video and audio to film the lights and music. You should be able to download the file to your pc/laptop with a patch cable. Drone footage would be super cool though.
