So when driving with these new solenoids, do you feel a difference? Dose it hole it in gear longer when towing? Really hate hard shifting, to me that doesn't do nothing unless racing.

I just read through this entire thread looking for information about removing the external inline filter. I recall having read somewhere that doing so will ruin the transmission. I don't see how that's possible, but can someone here confirm or deny?

If you are talking about running the external canister without a filter element in it, then yes, that is not advised -- a filter in there clean or completely clogged is better than none. If you are talking about completely removing the external filter assembly and running lines straight into the radiator and front external coolers between those and the transmission, that should be just fine (assuming you are running the '08+ internal pan filter...

I'm talking about complete removal. And yes, the 08 pan/filter mod has been completed. Thanks for reminding me to update my sig.

Newer model pan, newer model filter, new external up-front filter with its o-ring, and about 9 Qts of fluid.
