Yeah I have seen that video. That is crazy. What somewhat concerns me is I tow a TT like that one AND it was dually!! We are hopefully going to a 5ver here in a few months.
Glenn, it's always good to just take a day when the driving conditions are bad, especially when you can afford it. You can get things done and just go at a leisurely pace then. I have been in situation in Colorado where there is a blizzard and yet I HAD to hit the road because of work. That was over 10 years and I still remember coming down the mountain form Breckenridge like it was yesterday. I'll never do that again. They'll just have to fire me!
Darrin, it that a dry filter on that intake setup? I have one just like it that the PO put on there but it has the crappy K&N on it. I'd like to keep it and just put a dry AFE or 6637 on the end of it. I already removed the box because I hated to extra stuff in the way and thought about just selling it, but maybe I'll put it back on?
Yes, it's an AFE. When I first got the truck I didn't realize that the AFE filters are dry filters so the first couple of times I washed it I also oiled it. It would seem to get dirty really quick so I looked into it and found that I wasn't suppose to be using the oil. Since then it doesn't get dirty as fast.
Yeah, the one Riffraff sells is oiled. And I'm not entirely sure mine is or isn't suppose to be oiled. It just seems to stay clean longer if I don't oil it and the inside always looks brand new, so I know nothing is getting through.

So I confirmed last night that the compression fitting on the rear passenger head is weeping a little fuel and running down the back of the engine. I'm hoping that is what is making the dipstick adapter appear to be leaking.
Well, I haven't had much time to work on the truck lately but it is starting to have a charging/starting issue. I'm thinking my 5 year old batteries are dying and not holding a charge. I put them on the charger last night so we'll see if that helps. You visibly see the dash lights dim and the bat needle drop to 'OR' when it's idling. If you rev it a little or turn off the head lights, the dash lights will brighten and the needle jump to around the 'MA'.
On an other note, I noticed that my AC compressor comes on when the heat is on Mix or Defrost setting. What's up with that? It's not on with the vent or Floor setting.
