New interior, got to figure out what I can and can't use. Anybody know if I can use SD carpet? Seats, console, door panels, seat belts, trim. Trying to use as much black as possible.
i haven't followed much of the middle part of this thread, but as far as i know, you're wanting to put that SD stuff in your excursion, right?
as far as i know, the front seats SHOULD bolt up. the rears i believe are different, i think the whole floor is different from what i can remember when i compared the floor and rear seats in my excurison and my 04 f350 crew cab when i wanted to do the opposite and put my stock excursion 2nd row seats in my f350. but it looked like a little work on brackets and they'd fit, overall the size is the same, just the brackets are different essentially.
and the rear door panels of course are not as wide as the excursion doors, although many people have excursions with the new style interior, especially the custom 6 door ones. just need to mod the panel, which i've never looked in to doing (hope to in the future when i want to build one) but just by thinking about it, i'd imagine you could cut the rear panel vertically, that way you could clip the panel onto the excursion door on both sides, then essentially make a "filler" to fill the gap in the middle of the 2 pieces, then flush it in, do bodywork etc and make it pretty again. the good thing is the 08-16 panels are sorta flat, especially the rears, so i think if you cut it vertially just to the left of the center part that has the handle and pocket in it, you could pretty easily fill the gap in and make a new, slightly longer, factory looking rear door excursion panel.
