It's pretty bad when you have to get a loan to fix your vehicle
Probably all they will need to do is plug the IDS up to it to figure the issue out. About $100....

How much the bill is next depends on you.

In rereading this total tread. You state you got fuel 30 miles back. Then truck won't start. I'm wondering even though you have codes. If the fuel filter plugged just enough so it won't fire. Bad fuel does a number on these engines.

That's why I asked. It's not a new truck, its a likely 5 year old truck with 159K on it. Why do you feel that Ford should owe you a freebie? You bought and used a truck for 159k miles and the warranty was clearly listed as 100k on the engine. Big trucks, big bucks, gotta pay to play. I have nothing else to offer, so I'm out.

You can doubt it all you want...you're not the one stranded and just paid to have trailer towed home and your not the one that has to pay to have the truck towed 350 miles home.

So clueless...you had nothing to offer in the first place.
If you understood what I've been trying to do the last day and a half and how frustrating it is trying to figure out why a truck could run fine then after you've rested a couple hours and went to leave and the truck wouldn't start all of a sudden and you're a senior citizen on a fixed income..then you could understand

Thanks for your input.
On the filter on the frame I opened the drain valve and no water came out.
A guy suggested that I pull one of the filters and drain it and fill it with power steering or transmission fluid..don't remember..but said that would clean it out

No! do not put any thing in the filters. My suggestion would be to actually take the lower one off and inspect it and the housing,

Engine one is sealed and you can't do that.

Concern is perhaps bad fuel.

Yes you didn't get water but I was thinking of the filter picking up grime from fuel. It looks like a white slime on filter. Does not come out of filter. I Had this happen on the road.

Thanks...when I get home and get truck home tomorrow I'll definitely check that out.but since I own a new oil pressure sending unit sensor from auto zone I think I'll replace it since I get message in message center about low oil pressure. It looks like an old oil can
