I am towing my 5th wheel RV trailer and just started out on my journey.
I've driven 350 miles.
I stopped for a breather for about two hours.
Now my truck won't start and a low oil pressure indicator beeps in the message center.
My truck is a 2011 F250 super duty 6.7ltre diesel.
Recently had oil change and fuel filter change.
Need help!!!!!
I would start by checking the oil and looking for leaks.
Oil is good. Appears to be leak around oil pan but not bad ...also ignition after I stop trying to start it will keep turning the engine over for 7 seconds 😲
I think the turning over for 7sec or so it's normal. You just have to cycle the key forward for a quick sec on it usually turns over automatically till it starts. Must time out cause it's not starting. How bout fuel leaks? Did you check the drain valve on the frame mounted fuel filter to make sure it isn't cracked open a hair?
How long have you been stationary? Did you get the reflash for EGT sensors done? The last time I had symptoms like yours it was due to a faulty EGT sensor. Truck stopped, would crank but not start, and the no start led the PCM to show the low oil pressure light. After the tow truck finally came and dropped us off at the dealership the driver told me to try to start it. Fired right up! Seems in the 4 or so hours it sat, the EGT sensor cooled enough to pass whatever pre- start test they go through. Supposedly the reflash cures the shutdown issue.
One more thought, do you have a code reader? I'm sure your Check Engine Light is on due to the key position, but there might be a code thrown as well. If you have a stored code that might be another place to start.

Thank you. I'm gonna rest tonight and have a crack at it is the morning in the daylight 👍... What's an EGT sensor?

If it is EGT13, the one after the DPF that is bad it should start after a cold soak...but then it will shut down again.
All diesels are made (since 2008 at least) to be able to just hit the start and then let off. It will continue to crank till started or approx. 7-15 seconds.
