If it were an anti theft issue I would think there would be a message.
When the key is just turned to the on position do you here a buzz for the fuel pump? That would at least confirm the low pressure pump is working and getting fuel up to the motor.
I got a friend here to help listen for that now..he got here late last night to pull the RV trailer home if need be. But I'm feeling optimistic about today in getting this truck running.
Well.... Where to start?
The truck hasn't started yet.
Checked and confirmed that fuses are all good and I'm getting fuel. Low oil pressure lights up in message center still so when I get the truck home I'll put new oil pressure sending unit in.
If that doesn't solve the problem then I'll change the pcm .
If that doesn't solve the problem then I'm calling Ford and tell them to fix it or I'll plaster it all over facebook and put a sign in the window saying look at my 6.7 litre diesel flower pot!

Rather then throw parts at it, why not just have it towed to the dealer and let them diagnose it? Most places won't return electrical parts like PCMs. Food for thought, and I don't know the answer on the Ford's, but some ECMs now need injector trim codes entered. Just changing parts rarely gets anywhere other than expensive.
Beings is the oil pressure light is on and the truck isn't running, it makes me think that something is making it think the truck is running. Key on engine off the oil pressure warning should be off.
He relayed to me that he thinks the area around one of his injectors is wet. It could have been one of the workers tried undoing the injector a little to "purge" the air out when he got his filters changed. However he is gonna confirm the "wetness" tomorrow morning, by turning the key to the run but not start position and looking/feeling if there is fuel coming from his injector area.
Something that also should be pointed out while messing with this..............Do NOT EVER think about cracking loose common rail injector lines to check for fuel, or attempt to bleed it. If the pump is making pressure you are dealing with pressures in the 25,000 PSI range. It can damage the lines, and will certainly damage you.
The days of cracking injector lines loose are long gone. If a dealer tech did do that to try to bleed air, he should be canned. Period.
