This thread read like a good mystery novel. smitty, you're one helluva patient guy... I know I would not have been as calm as you, and no way would I have sat in a Walmart parking lot for two days trying to sort it out.

Best place for repairs in northeast Indiana Garrett Indiana... Yoder Ford dealership corner of Randolph and Quincy streets. Top notch mechanic and service manager...worse place to go is Ben Davis Chevrolet /Ford dealership... Ben Davis threw away some parts. No problem...insurance came through for me. Auto owners is the best!

UPDATE
Warning ⚠ do not take your vehicle to Ben Davis Chevrolet Ford dealership for repairs ....
I pulled my truck out of there and they were pissed off and childish and threw away some of my parts.!!!! If they were competent to begin with they'd have been fixing my truck.
Owner of the dealership was professional in that he refunded parts money and did not charge me for diagnostic tests.
When truck is ready to go I'll have all the codes' for this repair
Truck it up all you diesel devils 😊

Well.... After fixing broken parts they've started putting my truck back together 😊
Gotta drain and clean fuel tank and then flush the system I'm hoping I can pick up my truck tomorrow afternoon 😊😊😊
It might be Wednesday which would make me happy 😊
Leaving Friday...at least I won't be here for the hardest part of winter.
Murphy USA says that their fuel meets specifications which we all know is a crock !😁
My insurance company is going after them but said it's hard to prove.

very bad fuel Murphys USA Effingham Illinois even though they deny it.
Got the truck back together new fuel system and injectors.
also had to put new coolant and oil tube and gasket on the turbo total bill $10,031.31.
If you're ever around DeKalb County Indiana and you need truck repairs I would suggest Yoder Ford sales Garrett Indiana.
they are very competentand I like the fact that the service manager and the mechanic diesel tech both keep you in the loop and keep you informed.
They do not do any unnecessary Repair and if they do need to make repairs they notify you of something else needs repaired and they don't do it just to get money in there Shop they do it because it actually needs to be done and they show you the broken part or whatever is wrong with it and I felt very lucky to have stumbled on this dealership.
At this time I would also like to thank everybody here in the Forum for the information in the great help.
Everybody have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year seasons greetings all that good stuff Saturday morning heading to Arizona!😊😊😊

Awesome. Thats usually our March destination for spring break with the oldest, but he chose Nashville for next year. Did the Lake Whippoorwill KOA last March... backed her right onto the lake. Incredible park.
Not sure where I will end up with the dogs early January. Have to test out the new 50 gallon Titan somehow, ya know. Wife still has a real job so she can't come out and play. Bummer.

I may be out that way mid-April. I'm intrigued by Quartzsite, but my dogs are nervous travellers so making a 3,000 mile run with them really isn't in the cards... not six hours at a time, that is.
