A king pin stabilizer, x-chocks, or anything else have nothing on these strong arms. Nothing. I've used them all...

That's a convincing statement. Thanks David. I'll look into them.

Since I have fabrication shop tools and equipment, I will probably make my own - but for the others here (and maybe me - should I get lazy) where's the best deal on these?

The wife and I put these on our trailer. When parked on cement or pavement it is as stable as a house. On dirt they are still solid, but sometimes need an adjustment after the first day especially if really unlevel.

Had a broken spring once, found a store and bought 4 of them and with the hydraulic controls, had them changed out in two hours with the help of a bottle jack.

The 5th wheels have different systems, but they work great with easy setup.

Yep, mucho dinero. A number of links on their site came up with errors so I wasn't able to poke around much.

Yea, we were one of the first that they had sold and we got them for $1500 with free shipping.
It was 5 heavy boxes, but they sure work great! What I liked also is they let me get 4 sets of custom made hoses to my size I needed. They usually send 4 sets that you have to watch where you have to mount the pump so that they reach.

After I got the pump mounted in the rear, I ran a string where they were going to be routed and then measured it and knew the exact size I needed.

The main thing about this system is I don't have to store anything, as I don't have alot of storage space. I usually cannot get myself to splurge on stuff like this, but it was the wife's and I Christmas gift to each other and I am glad I did it now.

It wouldn't be a hard system to transfer to another trailer if someone didn't want to pay a little extra for it. Probably only take me an hour or two to pull four bolts from each leg and the pump off and order 4 new mounts for the frame. NOTE: It has one pump that controls two legs at a time.

There main site is http://bigfootleveler.com/ if you wanted to look at the other systems.

Do't know if you call this a modification but to me it was.

After a pool of water destroyed my floor I ripped it out and used real wood the manufacture should of used from the get go. Probably added 1800 lbs after I was done from this:

Hmm, I found the leak

And finally to this:

And this was my modification 1 summer.

Wow Fordman - nice job!

It always amazes me how little craftsmanship and decent materials goes into the construction of motorhomes and trailers. I don't think there's a mass produced RV out there that's built with any sort of quality. All they do is cover up all their shoddy work with fancy trim on the inside..

It's an uneducated consumer issue as well as a manufacturing issue Randy. If a manufacturer offered upgraded quality of construction for the same price as LED lighting, three flat panel TV's, etc., which option do you think most buyers would tick on the order form if they had to choose based on budget? Folks expect quality construction as a standard and choose the bling options. However, there is only so much a manufacturer can do with a set amount of money. If you did both, you'd price many buyers out of the market.
