Just got back from Vermont, truck ran fine, averaged 12.0 on the way up but then had a regen and mpg fell to 11.5 and never got back up to 12. That's ok because my '08 V10 got 10mpg. On the way home I was going faster so never made it to 12 but stayed right at 11.6. I am sure I would have got better mpg but the truck was right around 12,000lbs with 3 ladders on top, overall a good trip.
Thanks guys, I'm amassed at how well it rides when not loaded.
Yours is the first all Caribou truck I think I've seen... Very sharp looking!

I need to see these heavy-*** ladders!!!
Glad the trip went well!!!!
Any dually owners get kind of a faint binding noise from the front axle on their dually in tight turns? Everytime I take a slow speed tight turn in either direction I get a kind of faint grinding noise. Checked the hubs, they're in auto. My SRW never made this noise. Thought I'd check and see if anyone else has this or if this is dually normal before taking it into the dealer. Truck has 12,000 miles.
Look at the first post in this thread, now imagine 1 28' extension ladder a 24 footer and a 20 footer on top of the ladder rack, it's not so much the weight but the wind resistance they create. By the way the truck weighs 11,200 with just the basic tolls in there, so putting in another 800lbs was easy.
I have 3:73 as do all '11 to present F350 duallys.
