Chris, That happened to my dad in his old '75 Courier. He busted the back window right out of it with his head. Luckily it didn't do much of anything to him. Now if only my truck had head rests.
The seat backs were a direct fit onto my old bench. I didn't have a hole drilled for the seat back restrictor cable so I tucked it up into the seat back.
I've already set a limit for myself of $2k total on this heap. If I can't get it reliable by then I can part it out and get some of my money back. The 460/C6 combo and rear end are the best parts so far.
I just want a truck for hauling stuff in, doesn't have to be pretty, just reliable.
I added up all the receipts and with the truck purchase price I'm into this heap $2700 now. So I busted my limit but there's no going back now.

I'm at like $5000. And it doesn't even look a whole lot different. Oh well. I'm keeping the truck until I'm dead anyways. I'm just going to enjoy it while I still can.

Adds up quick, doesn't it?
The way I look at it is that [$5000] would just barely make a decent down payment on something new, which starts depreciating as soon as you drive it off the lot and most likely, you will see one just like it at every street corner!

Amen! Our trucks are now appreciating, albeit slowly. And there's not another one like Rusty around.

Exactly. It may be $5000 on top of the $900 I bought it for. But it's got no car payments and it's super easy to work on with cheap insurance.
You did it the easy way. I did mine with the assembly in the truck. Took me 9 hours to do both bushings................... AND that's just pressing the bushings in!
