I have about 300 miles or more on the clutch, and I had to tow with it yesterday. I hauled an OBS F150 to the scrap yard. Load was 4780 lbs. and my trailer weighs 4500 lbs., for a total of 9280 lbs. I was towing. Made the 50 mile trip up there with no problems, but after I was unloaded and getting back on the highway, I was merging onto the four lane going up hill and as I shifted into 5th and lightly rolled into it, the clutch slipped like hell. Has been slipping ever since. I haled a Subaru wagon today and babied it, but as soon as I start making boost and it starts to pull, the clutch slips. The truck seems to still be idling a little rough after it has been run a while, like after I been running down the highway at 65 - 70 mph for a while then stop at a light or something, it idles pretty rough. Sounds like there is one injector banging real hard. The truck runs good towing though and pulled real good yesterday on the way to the scrap yard. I was running in the Daily Driver tune and EGTs never got over 1100* max even on the longest pulls, but I was only towing 9280 lbs. It was really nice on some of the hills I pulled, I had power to spare. The trans is working exactly like had hoped and it is great for towing. I'm pretty disappointed in the clutch though, and to top the whole weekend off, this morning I was going down the highway about 70 mph and a deer ran out and into the side of my truck and caved the passenger side rear door in.....that makes #20......
Man, that sucks bud. Both things, the door and the clutch. Way too much bad luck for ya going on here. That's a new clutch, right? I don't remember for sure, I know you had the trans out a couple times. I can't believe that another deer found you too.
On a hopeful better note, I'm guessing the turbo seals sealed back up?

Man, oh man, oh man.
That really SUCKS!
My brother claims he has the worst luck ever with hitting wildlife, but I may have to show him this. He has hit several deer, one COW, and lots of various little critters. He says he's the only person he knows who has hit two cats..........................at. the. same. time.
Sorry about this bud. I know a guy that has a couple rear doors, though....
Dang dude. That's pretty much a big steamy pile of bad luck right there. Maybe on the clutch you could call and talk to Gary or Dan and see if they can rectify the issue in any way. Especially with only 300 miles on it.
Sorry to see this Bill, I've hit a couple of deer (1 with a truck I absolutely loved, took out the whole front end) it is no fun, you will get er going again, and you got us here to cheer you up!
