What's wrong with a visor, Travis? I like the Lund sun visor, not so much the moon visor with the lights.

I like your plan Bill. It should look real good! I may try and do mine this summer, we'll see if I can make time. If I do it in the summer the shop can be empty for the most part. Winter time its always busier in there, race cars are in there out of the cold. I just don't know how long it will take, and I usually don't go more than 3 weeks between races.

BTW I also like the sun visor, Id like to have one installed in my rig.
Our opinions on the visor differ greatly. There are certain things on a truck that really grind my gears.... First and foremost at the top of that list is flatbeds. I hate them with every ounce of my being. I understand the intended purpose, but that will not change my hatred towards them.
Next would be those grab handles that people bolt behind the door of the truck AND spot lights bolted to the pillar beside the windshield. Both of those things just set me off in a way that not many things do. Again, I understand the purpose, but I still highly dislike them.
Next on the list is the visors... I've never understood the fad. In my mind, if you want to shield the sun, put some tint on the windshield. If you want clearance lights, add OEM lights. Just my thoughts on it.
In general, most things that effect the body of the truck in a negative way get under my skin.
My list is LONG, so I'll stop there. LOL. For some reason some things just don't make any sense to me. It's not my truck though, so it's no big deal. If my truck had any of those things I listed I would throw a fit... I won't hate on y'all for setting a truck up how y'all like it unless we're on good speaking terms. Like Bill and his flatbed. I'm not afraid to tell Bill his flatbed SUCKED. LOL
I don't even need to ask, I bet my running boards make your list Travis! LOL Come to RRE and help me take them off and I'll stand behind you when my wife shows up,

You just had to bring up those steps..... GRRRRRRRR............ Lol. And grandpa graphics too. Let's throe that in there while we're at it. Ha!!!!

I see where you are coming from. There are a few things I don't like and I would never do to my trucks, one being adding stacks threw the bed. That would never go over on one of mine. But if everyone had the same tastes, it would be very booring. On the visor, I think they add to the looks of the truck, but to each there own.

Travis, I am right there with you on everything you said....with the exception that I DO think flatbeds serve a good purpose on a ranch truck. My last '97 came with a flatbed, and for trailer towing, hay hauling, cattle work, and genral ranch work, it was the bees knees. It looked pretty good too. But visors....burn 'em!! Love ya Bill!! LOL Oh, I personally laughed out loud at Grandpa graphics. My favorite was my papaws 4 horse GN that had graphics going down the side. He appropriately put the same graphics on his truck to match.

Like I said. I know the purpose of the flatbed. I've used them. My brother has one on his truck. I still hate them. I can do the same work with my regular bed. I just have to be more careful with it. I dont mind being careful and keeping my bed looking right. Lol
Speaking of graphics, my wife and I toured a plant who built 5th wheels. Towards the end when they were pretty much complete, they didn't have any graphics on them yet. My wife and I commented to the tour guide that they looked great without the graphics and can you order them that way? He said no and we said, why not??? They were white and shinny and looked good!
Here we go again...... HAHA!!!! Just as a voucher, you have a nice truck. Looks to be in good shape.
I actually don't like the OBS towing mirrors.. I like the smaller mirrors. Not the plastic ones, but the ones in between that have two mounting posts like Glenn's, but have the smaller mirror on them. Love those mirrors.
I'm not the biggest fan of bug shields. Messes up the paint on the hood. This is far from being my biggest gripe. I don't get all worked up over seeing them.
Not sure what you mean about lights between doors, but I DO like dually fenders. LOL
Mines got some accent lights in between the front and rear door. I didn't know how to explain it lol. I think that's where the grab handles typically are you mentioned earlier. And thanks for the compliment in the first sentence! Lol
I don't have many pet peeves when it comes to vehicles. Maybe at the top of the list would be stacks and a lift kit with stock wheels and tires lol. Heck, I even think a VERY few selection of trucks with stacks look good lol. Theres no way I could work up the gumption to cut some huge holes in my bed though.

The mule has the smaller mirrors. I don't see any advantage of the mare's bigger mirrors.
Bill and I tore up two threads one night. One of them hasn't been back since, LOL I'm sure Bill doesn't mind!
