When I first put my 5 speed in I had a leak from the front seal. It was due to a bad pivot ball and fork binding in the input enough to break the seal and leak fluid. Only did it when using the truck and not constantly.

I'm hoping cleaning the disk with carb or brake cleaner will save it. Like I said though, I'm just glad it's not an oil leak! LOL! I'll get this truck straightened out one of these days. The new bed is giving me inspiration

I know I'll like it. It will look a lot better than the flatbed. If the it had a western hauler style bed, I would leave it on there, but the dually bed will look better than this one for sure.

Sorry to hear about that leak Bill. I'm glad the dually bed is a motivator!

Me too. Man, 4th time? And there will be a 5th means you are putting a different trans in now? I don't know if I could have that much patience!

Maybe you should just put a BTS automatic in there so you can quit having problems! JK buddy!

Awe shoot! No he didn't just say that!

It's okay Darin, Bill has had that trans out so many times he can probably do it in his sleep by now. I doubt he has even put the tools away from the last time he had it out, lol.

You know how I feel about flatbeds. Lol.

Hopefully cleaning the disc up will help it out. You need a break from that truck!!!

Bill
Use starter fluid, works better. I had an axle seal leak right after putting new shoes on, took the starter fluid to them and good as new. Had to clean them again when I changed the axle seal and cleaned up again. Ran them till they wore out.
