Sorry to hear about that leak Bill. I'm glad the dually bed is a motivator!
It's the little things that keep me going LOL!

Maybe you should just put a BTS automatic in there so you can quit having problems! JK buddy!

It's okay Darin, Bill has had that trans out so many times he can probably do it in his sleep by now. I doubt he has even put the tools away from the last time he had it out, lol.
A BTS has crossed my mind the last couple days LOL! These last two trucks have given me more clutch trouble than any I have ever owned! I couldn't do that in this truck though. I have thought about making my CC project truck an auto. I don't plan on ever towing with it or working it.....ya never know

Hopefully cleaning the disc up will help it out. You need a break from that truck!!!
I hope I can clean it. I'm going to try cleaning it with brake cleaner, then bury it in oil dry for a couple days and see if that will draw the ATF out of it. I can't take a break from this truck. At the rate I have problems, if I take a break it won't be ready for RRE! LOL! I don't know though, maybe I should leave it alone for a while......it ran good til I got a hold of it! LOL!!
Yeah, my truck has been leaking oil from either the oil pan or the rear main, since the auto to manual swap. I hate driving an oil leaker, and I have planned all summer to pull the engine and fix it this winter. It ran and pulled so well this past summer, I am almost afraid to touch it.. I do need to get that intercooler installed though. I have the intercooler but need everything else. If anyone can help with locating parts, I'm in need.

If you can find an early '99 spider, we can order some 3" exhaust pipe bends and you can come up one weekend and we can build your IC pipes.
The short throw is one of the best mods I did to my OBS aside from injectors. I love it. Should I make you jealous and post a video of one really fast shift? Lol

Jim still doesn't have any and last I talked to him he didn't plan to make them any time soon, though he was trying to work with a supplier to get some done (with no luck).
They can be made DIY... There was a thread I bookmarked where a guy made the spacer himself using some pretty primitive tools and then used the shifter stub out of a ZF6 (it must be longer than the one in a ZF5). I can't find the thread now, but it looked pretty simple.
