All you need to do is get a piece of 4'' pipe , about a inch wide , and tap a hole for the filter minder to go into. I believe someone had a pic of their setup , with this done to it.
So basically , it would go :
Filter - inch wide piece of 4'' pipe - then rubber tubin to turbo
Just pull it out and put it back in. The PCM dies and clears as soon as the fuse comes out. You will have a brand new PO603 code when you are done, but it dosen't hurt anything.
The filter minder has a rubber o-ring in the stock air box. Drill the hole in the new section of pipe to fit that. Keep it tight so you get a good seal. Here is a Pic
what are the chances of getting water into the turbo with that intake? read below.......this was posted on my jeep club about putting a diesel in a jeep.
IF, you get a ford power stroke, make SURE you get a snorkle!!!

When it rains hard I have to drive through 12" of water to get out of my driveway, and what about the boyz running water injection on their hot rod PSD's, or any diesel for that matter?
What will resetting the pcm do exactly?
It just clears any stored codes that may, or may not, be affecting your driveability.
This kind of filter has been run on diesels for years. No question you can screw things up with water, but if you're in water that deep it will get in a factory box as well. How many PSD have you seen runnibg around with snorkels. I have a direct shot from the grille of my truck to the filter (zoodad mod) and have driven through some pretty rough rain and snow at 65 mph or faster without a problem. This is just one of those mods that make the little boys nervous. If you're worried , don't do it. If you do do it and are still nervous, put it all back the way it was and blame it on some noise as others have done. No worries on my end.
i was just wondering if driving thru a monsoon here in az is gonna have any impact on the saturation of the filter. im kinda getting used to the turbo 'screaming' with the intake mod!!!
These numbers were supplied by AFe after I discussed the Tymar and the possibility of them producing a filter system with a paper filter. I was told, basically, "why would AFe want to produce a system that flows less?" and received this fax from them this morning.
Don't take them as Gospel, just as you shouldn't take the numbers Tymar gives as Gospel. Of course Dale is going to hype his Tymar system, just as AFe is going to hype the Magnum Force. The truth probably lies somewhere in between... (which would still mean the AFe flows more).
