Someone, remind which day is it in December when the world ends?

I'm working on my vacation schedule, and want to be sure I get it all used up before then. Just found out I didn't draw an Antelope tag. Really bummed out about that, and can't work up enough motivation to figure out where we should go instead of WY.

Long time Giant fan from the days of Mays and McCovey. Who has the strange fact that he has been to 18 Dodger games and only 1 Giant game in his life and has been known to root for the home team.
I KNEW there was a reason I liked you (besides that awesome looking truck of course) I am a die hard Giants fan from the days of Willie Mc Covey also (Missed Mays, he had moved to the NY Mets by the time I started liking the Giants)

Just saw the remark made regarding Juan Marichal. IMHO he should never have been inducted into the hall of fame because of that incident with Roseboro.

Evening SoCal!

Well I'm back in Indiana...landed a little bit ago...and found out we've tied our ALL TIME HIGH TEMPERATURE of 106°...and that has been since they started keeping track way back in 1897!...

Trying to stay cool...so what do I do...work up an additional sweat on the treadmill...go figure.

Joe.

Jim.. it is always nice to meet a long-time Giant fan. Where I live it is Dodger Country and always has been, even my wife is a Dodger fan. That itself explains 10 of my 18 trips to Dodger Stadium since 1963.
We are hoping to get up to San Francisco for a small vacation soon and I hope to take in a game at the same time. I am due, the last and only game I saw in San Francisco was in 1964.

As far as Marichal, also IMHO if that incident had happened later in time, I do not think he would be in the Hall of Fame.

Sorry guys, but the rules are no political discussion outside of the member's forum. Local issues are OK in the chapters, but not the national stuff. I deleted your posts...nothing personal

Morning SoCal!

While traveling home yesterday I was honored to witness something I have never witnessed before.

On our flight from LAX (which originated in Honolulu) there was a sailor who was escorting the remains of his officer home. After I deplaned I was able to witness the officers flag draped casket being taken from the plane and into a hearst by 6 sailors. It was very somber to witness this. While watching I said a few prayers for the officer, his or her family and all the brave men and women who have sacrificed everything for our freedom as well as those currently serving today so we can continue to enjoy our freedoms.

Please keep this sailor and their family in y our thoughts today if you can.

Joe.

You know me...I don't read the rules. Guess that's one reason whey I spend more time on the non-commercial forums. I'll never understand why people can't have civil discussions when it comes to politics. Gotta love political correctness.....NOT

Steve - How's that job up the hill coming along? The owner still going to take a swing at it?

Wondering that myself.

Starting my day off with a termite inspection. Hopefully he'll get here early. Then if it isn't too hot yet, I'll get my coolant changed out today.

TGIF SoCal FTE! The weekend is almost here!

Joe, Thank you for sharing that somber moment you witnessed. Having just recently been making regular trips to the local VA hospital, I noticed one of their walls has a quote: "All gave some, some gave all" My prayers too are with the sailors, and their officer's family.

Weird day in the market today. My Ford shares are down 5% and my Smith & Wesson shares are up 19%. I'm afraid to read the related news stories.
