I agree the food was good, and as always a good time.

Oh and here's a note from state farm about driving with airbags!

Just found this thread, wish I could have made it to the dinner, Hope Mills is literally a 5 minute drive for me!

I'll try to make it to Hubert for the next one, I have that day off. For those that have been there, think it'd be ok to bring my boat in tow? I know some good fishing around Hubert that may need my attention prior to coming over to the mud bog.

How do I get more information on these upcoming events (Sept. and Oct.), like place and time, etc? Also, I plan on coming to the Mud Bog monthly dinner, unfortunately I am fairly certain my truck won't be ready by then, how will I know who is part of the group, is there a big flag or tent or something? I see they have a concession stand, is that where we are eating? Sorry for all the newb questions.

I don't see why there would be any issues with bringing your boat in tow. They had mentioned cooking before, I'm sure that is still the plan. Most of yall will have to park on the spectator side (as soon as you go past the gate house on the left before passing the pits) I will be on the drivers/pit side however I'm not sure their plan.

I'll be somewhere near this setup, or that jeep unless I am helping out around the pit.

If you go to the website James shared, it has a tab for race dates. But here is the list for the rest of the season...

All races start around 4:30-5, but the memorial races start around 2:30.

Well put Tony
If you can make it Matt, we'll have a meeting place, and if I can get there, I'll wear my FTE T-Shirt.

My plan is to be there as well. I'll be driving Lucille. We don't require you to bring your Ford to any events, but we will drool over it if you do, so make sure you have something to clean that up!

As for FTE events. September will be the BBQ, which I hosted last year, but I think James may host this year. Who ever hosts, we'll be sure to PM you the address. We both live in the Raleigh suburbs. We let Bob manage the grill, I secretly think he has a love of fire!!! This year, the guitars will be coming out much earlier. Perhaps a banjo as well!

October will be another camp out. Everyone really enjoyed the last one. Not sure if we'll go to Badin Lake, or to a different location. Either way, we'll make sure theres somewhere to fish, and hopefully flex out my old jeep again. There's also a place to launch a boat at Badin Lake. I've checked out the Badin Lake Sites. We mostly gathered in Bob's site, since it was the largest, so that's the one I'm focusing on for availability. For October it's open the weekends of the 13-16 and 28-30. We will have to get a fall campout thread going.

Sounds good. Told my boys we are going to a mud bog race with some cool old trucks, they are pretty excited. What time is the group planning on being there? Sounds like I can get 5-6 hours of fishing in with my boys before we arrive.
