Well me made it through the winter and the dinner last night had a good showing of participants. Got to check out a nice 76 Truck that was almost completed and I wish I could remember his name. Carolina Blue showed up in his 80's bullnose shortbed that also is a nice clean original truck. The conversation was great, enough people to have 2 or 3 going on at the same time. We stayed outside shootin the chit for a while after we all went outside to leave. Good friends and good laughs. BBQ plate was bland and surely was not cooked on a pit, had real good fries, and the mashed taters was good also. Nice place. Next item up for bid... The Spring Fling. Time to start planning and getting ready for the lake.

Hey Will the guy with the 76 was named "Van" and said he doesn't have a screen name yet. I didn't have the BBQ but my burger was pretty damn good! Good seeing everyone

Yep Aviator's menu is a bit limited in what's good. Looking forward to next month's dinner. Time to stop messing around with the winch and get on that front axle this weekend.

Really hate I missed out last night. Seems I overdid it last Wednesday and I'm still paying for it. Hope the dance with the needle tomorrow will get me straightened out for a few days.

Be Good!

I'm planning on being at the sight most of that day, baby sitting the smoker, and hitting the lake behind the sight
I'll prep my beans before we go. I like them to set in the fridge over night with all of the mixed together, then in the smoker for a few hours

Sounds good. I'll try to score a boston butt or two for the smoker. Maybe I'll get as good a deal as I did this week on one!

It's May. Whose hungry? My schedule is packed. These are the days I can make. 11,16,18,24,25.

Where too? Lexington, Thomasville, High Point?

Lots of good places we haven't eaten in that area. Or we can revisit a place.

Do any of those dates work for the group? Restaurant suggestions?

Hungry? Pfffft, Starving. I am open for about any day except, Memorial day weekend, I always head to my land in the mountains. (Hey Tony, wanna do lunch in Wilkesboro the day I roll through?) so I am in for whatever works for any one who is interested. We need a member in that area to hook us up on the knowledge of some great places to chow down. So lets hear it, Who all is in and lets start looking up the area and get some ideas.

I'm open for May. The last week of June, and first week of July, we'll be out of town. Well actually, out of the state.
Gonna make a trip back home for Shari's folks 50th anniversary, then hide from family, and see some friends.
Maybe see some, family.
