Great time. Food was delicious. Portions were generous. Wait staff was very friendly. Heck, even the owner stepped out to chat. Lots of laughs. Good stuff.

Bob you failed to take a photo of the additional eight sides you ordered with your "tray."

Didn't rain on us the ride back but we did get harassed by a gang of hooligans out joyriding. We got their plate and turned it in. Their truck sounded really nice though. Almost like they had just got a new exhaust installed.

Fall fling was mentioned.

See yall at the next one.

Had a good time last night folks. Really nice to see everyone.

The trip home got quite interesting. We were being harassed on the way back by these two hooligans in a Hyundai. With Bob at the wheel we managed to get away.

I'm still laughing...

Be Good!

They sure didn't skimp on the serving size, I was stuffed! Here's the photo of the Q crew taken by the waitress along with a few other pics:

Sounds like a good time guys and I hate I missed it. However we have a new release going live and I've been assigned QA on the product. It's making for a long hard week. It always seems the week before vacation starts ends up being the hardest most undesirable week of working

Coca-Cola 600 next week!

The next one will probably be around Raleigh or east of Raleigh. Lexington/Highpoint/Winston Salem area is the closest ones to you and I. That makes it about 90 min. drive for all of us. The next time they come west, I can meet you in hickory right off of I40. If you want to leave your vehicle somewhere that stays open late(Hooters, Cracker Barrel, one of the hotels) I'll drive to the dinner and back.

West was Lexington last month.

North is June and in Reidsville at Short Sugar's.

https://shortsugars.com/

Need to work on a date.

South in July. Fayetteville maybe.

East in August. Kinston maybe.

Then back to local stuff for the fall winter.

We try to branch out in the warmer months to reach other chapter members. And stick close to home in the cooler months.

Keep up with the thread if you want to know when and where.

I've eaten there and never preferred it over the other BBQ joints around Goldsboro. Its a bit wet and gristley to me. But some folks like it. It usually has a decent crowd when we pass it. They still cook over wood. It's been there a long time. You should try it if you want. For the group we will head further east. Goldsboro is basically local for us. 45 mins away.

Best BBq in that area is Ken's in LaGrange. Only served twice a week. A little more north and you've got Parker's, Ellis's, B's and others.

The Moore's we ate at in New Bern sold the family business to a chain. It's still Moore's just not the same food. Glad we got the group there before the change.

I'm thinking Fat Baby's in Kinston for our eastern dinner. Should be close enough for Larry. If not we'll move further east.

B's was also mentioned in that article. I'm good with trying any new places if I can make the dinner this next month. Definitely looking forward to it.
