Back for now
Seems cut and dry to me, the posts show he was online on the f150 furum. Which is bull****.
<big>Detective Sherlock and his stalwart partner chicagodragon ingage in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of FTE.</big>
Wow Nate.
Good points... I guess I was so distracted by his story and how bad I would feel for a guy if that really happened I never thought to question it....
That is until the damn thing was drawn out this long and then you noticed the other posts and time not lining up with his story.
Load of BS.
Probably isnt even 16 years old... cuz at 16 I wouldn't dare give hell to somebody (elders...or experienced owners and mechanics like on FTE)who knew something I didnt. I was respectful in hopes of learning something from him.
FTE is about learning how to have the best running PSD you can without paying out the A$$ to some stealership or garage to have it done. or at the very least know what you are talking about so you can guide those places to work on your truck properly and not rip you off or run up the bill.
All the while having a little fun in learning how to upgrade your truck the right way all in your garage if you feel like it!
Hes probably not even an American... cuz we have pride in those who serve. lol (just kidding about him not being american... not kidding about the pride we have).
But still a pretty low ball thing to do to those who protect us.

Alright, well this has really got my blood pressure up and I hope I am wrong here, but I can't ignore this now.
How old are you Ryan? You need to answer this very carefully and here is why. Something about this whole thing stinks if you ask me. The longer it goes on the more I can't help but feel that something is awry.
I am with George. I'm calling BS on this whole thing and here is why:
May I present exhibit 1 - Ryan says in the first post of this thread just over a year ago that he is 16.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ell-kinda.html
Don't you have to be 18 to enlist? Or have they changed that now (I don't think so).
Exhibit 2:
In post 66 here Ryan says he has some money to put into the truck and this was discussed in several threads after this. We even helped him put a shopping list together at one point of all the things that he could buy with the $23k his grandfather left him.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-smoke-5.html
I remember this post because the image of him working together with his Grandpa on his truck stuck with me. But apparently that must have been pretty quick since the first post about getting the truck was only 2 months before this thread....
Exhibit 3:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...last-ride.html
On 2-16 Ryan posts this thread called "Last Ride" about taking the 'ol Stroke out for one last drive before he left for basic. How long is basic anyway? Because this was only 10 weeks ago and I thought basic training was 13 weeks for the marines, unless you're in the Navy, in which case I guess it could only be 8 weeks. In which case I guess I can cut you some slack on this one. But he said Marines here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...pping-out.html
Exhibit 4:
It appears that they must let you post about and work on your trucks at basic training now a days because in this thread Ryan says he traded his '96 PSD for a four wheeler:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ot-so-new.html
I hate to do it guys, but I am going to have to call it.

I think we have caught ourselves a troll.
Either way, Ryan you have some "serious 'splaning to do"!!

If this turns out to be a hoax, you owe everybody in this thread an apology!
I wonder if Marcus and ryan are friends, and he is trying to get his truck sold for his friend...Only in Wisconsin, I know remember why I never liked that state, best thing to come out of Wisconsin is I94....
We got dupped.....at least we all know not to mess with anyones truck......and I learned a few things, take pics of the Vin tag, door sticker and document document document!!!
Anyone ever checked that phone number Ryan posted a few back is it really his?

This particular thread has really showcased something that I think is valuable, though: I've been pretty amazed at the sense of community that exists on this forum, it's not like anything I've ever seen on the internet. In both threads, there's this group of guys willing to give the shirt off their back to a stranger- never mind that he might turn out to have been a troll. That doesn't change the fact that you all are part of something pretty darn rare. And, as another former active-duty servicemember, I share your feelings about a guy telling tall tales about being a Marine.
Now, Ryan, don't leave us hanging...
