I'm gonna pack the fiver & get it over to the seasonal site, I sleep good in the trailer........like is great Bro
Memorial weekend (May 26, 27 & 28) we are going to Billings MT area and visit some people and get a little fishing in. It'll be our first camping trip of the year. First trip with the new truck and 5th wheel.
Blue tape the roof. Seriously, like full width 8" section where the lights are going. Then, measure where the lights should go. Tape each light into position and look it over and make certain you are satisfied. Check the left to right and forward and back dimensions (like at least 3 times). Drill your holes, run wiring, enjoy.

AWESOME!
Wife and I are going to Moab the second of June for a week. We spent a week there last year and vowed we would spend a week there every year! Any place in particular you're staying or going while there?
Well today sucked. Usually after I take my truck in for service, I check everything really well. The other night after I picked the truck up from my dealer after the NOx recall, I was in a hurry and have been swamped at work and home ever since.
I went out to the truck today after work because I had to head about 30 miles south to pick up my father-in-law's mower from the John Deere dealer. Was getting ready to start it up to hook up the trailer and thought I'd take a gander under the hood. I opened her up and immediately noticed my oil filler cap was missing. I was instantly pissed and began looking around. Lo and behold, there it was on top of the driver's side battery. Morons at the dealership didn't put it back on.
Stupid mistake on my part not to double check everything before pulling out of the dealership parking lot the other night.....a mistake I won't make again. A not-so-pleasant conversation with the service manager took place right away.
Geez I wish I had a place and the time to change my own oil and do my own service on this thing.
On another note, the truck drives fantastic since the NOx recall. 30 miles down and back and it's shifting MUCH better. I actually think it's driving better than new.

I can't wait for June second to get here.
We'll be at the Spanish Trail RV Park on the 26th and 27th of May. This our first time at Moab, so if you have any recommendations where to go while we are there please let me know.
John - That's ridiculous. I'm glad you found the cap.
Your missing out on all the fun of changing oil on these bad boys.

ruck.
Same happen to me at the Last oil change...........
My chat with the service went well...... The oil change guy is fired ..... Really, he is, but not just because of the Goof on my Truck.
John,if you remember a while back I posted that the diesel mechanic at my local dealer had left. Well, he was away for two weeks and the owner of the dealership finally got him back. Here's the kicker, he's the new service manager.
So last week when I had my coolant and tranny flushed, the service manager did the work! He can't find a diesel tech. I don't think he is going to find one any time soon that suits him either, he's very good and OCD about working on these things.
I'm glad u found the cap. I have started changing the oil myself and it's fun but I know what you mean. It's a lot of oil and you don't save a whole lot of money either.
I'm glad it worked out John, it could have been alot worse I guess, at least he put oil in it...........that still doesn't make it right, thats why we go to the dealer in the 1st place....
Thank you good Sir. Are you going to try the install this weekend? Good luck if you do. And start off with pencil and move to sharpy when you are CERTAIN of the placement.
I'm kind of surprised the cap stayed on the battery and didn't fall off. That truck must ride like a dream. You can't fix stupid, John. The person that changed your oil needs to be careful. His (or her) actions can have dire consequences. However, you are a responsible owner and checked when at your first opportunity. Well done I say.
