Well, if all goes as planned, our first day (Sunday) in Moab should be awesome. The wife is going to the Art Festival in Moab and my son and I will be riding Steelbender. Everyone will be happy. Now all we have to do is get there. I can't wait, 1336 miles of diesel fueled, turbocharged SD fun!
I'll post pics when I get a chance.
Happy trails to you! Have lots of fun and save some for me and the wife. I haven't ridden Steelbender yet. Maybe this year.
We leave next Saturday for our 2nd annual week long trip to Moab.

It was great, but we did take one of sissy trails to bypass a rather steep ledge. I took one look at it and told my son, RETREAT!
Tomorrow we are riding Gemini Bridges.

Now you're getting up to where we spent a week last year. I can't wait to head back to Utah. I love it down there. First we are going to Rock Springs, WY. The Kilpecker Sand Dunes are 11 miles north of there. They are the largest active sand dunes in North America. Plus I got a grand daughter that lives there. Then off to the White Wash Sand Dunes in central Utah.
I spent all weekend getting the 4-wheelers and 5er ready to pull out next Saturday. Providing my Daughter-in-law doesn't go in labor that is. She's due June 14. But I bet she comes a little earlier than that. We'll see.

Thanks Roy, very well said.

Ride on!
Before you leave tell her "...hope everything comes out alright!"
Yesterday at Steelbender, we did the loop, not Flat Pass.
The weather was fantastic, 75 degrees, sunny and the wind was not blowing 40 mph. It was a bit windy driving through Kansas, Colorado and Utah on Saturday.
Have a great Memorial Day everyone!
BTW - go to google.com and see what they did to the GOOGLE logo for Memorial Day....

Wish I could say I've enjoyed my vacation this weekend but I've been putting in about 14 to 18 hours a day since Friday. Finally the phone hasn't rung today and it seems I'm being left alone.
Very well said Roy! This holiday is about a lot more than cookouts and we all need to stop and remember that. Thanks to all Vets, past and current!

Let me guess, NOTHING.
(except for a little flag that doesn't work in HTTPS mode.)
Google often forgets where they are HQ'ed.
The don't want to offend others but they'll gladly throw up some foreign guy's birthday who died 200 years ago.
Microsoft (Bing.com) on the other hand, does care.
Check out their page today. They don't forget where they live.
Anyways, I had family out in Moab a few weeks ago and they echo what I've read here; it's the place to be!

The Rain & Snow & Cold & Winds finally gave way to nice weather
Hitched up the 5th wheel threw in some grub and headed for a fishing spot on the Missouri River south of Cascade MT.
There is a hill that my (EX) 2008 Dodge 3500 6.7 cummins could not accelerate to and maintain 65 mph pulling my current 5th wheel. Well.....It Happened ! The F-350 accelerated to 65 and maintained it without any trouble. Came to another hill....cruse control set at 65 mph, the F-350 just went up & over without breaking a sweat. Then down hill..... She down shifted and kept the rig at 65mph without me touching a thing On a flat stretch.... 65mph gave me 12 mpg........ 70mph gave me 11.3 mpg...... 75mph gave me 10mpg. Trailer is 13k lbs, 33 ft Wildcat, with a very high profile.
Had a nice afternoon, kids went fishing, I got some quiet time watching the campfire. Packed up got home and backed in the trailer and didn't even hit anything
