Random question of the day.....what was the first year that Ford moved the gas tanks from the cab to under the bed?

1972 if memory serves.

EDIT: I believe 72 was the last year it was in the cab. I miss read the question. I think it moved under the bed in '73.

Good one... never thought of it.

I wanted to say 67 when the body style changed but now I'm not sure. I guess it's time to scope some pics and see when the filler neck is gone.

Pretty sure its not 67, i just talked to a guy with a truck that body style and he still had one. I believe it moves in 73.

However if i remember right an auxiliary tank could be ordered in the 67 bodystyle with one tank under the bed but there was still one in the cab

At the risk of boring you all, here are a couple of photos of the bedroom we renovated.

The blue side of the room has the new flooring.

The tan/orange end of the room has the original flooring that I restored and was covered with vinyl and carpet.

Still need to hang some blinds and install some kind of insert in the closet.

Those were from the NHRDA finals in Topeka last weekend. I'd like to be able to tell some stories of glorious victories won, but that wasn't the case.
