Took my 300 win mag and 30.06 out to recheck zero today.
Good to go.
Stopped by an old favorite gun shop on the way home and saw a beautiful Mark V on consignment.
I reaalllly need to hit the lottery.
I give ten to one odds that you will find a chevy small block in Al Gore III'rd Prius! has anyone ever see a Toyota go 100 mph?... It kind of reminds me of Arriana Huffington berating Arnold Schwarzenegger about his Hummer, when she was driving a Chevy Tahoe that got worse mileage.... but she was helping to green the enviroment up.... Uhh yeah!
I DROS'd my first bolt action rifle today, 10 days in jail. It's a Howa .223 tactical. Looking forward to getting to know how to use it effectively. In all the years I've been shooting (since I was 8) I have never used a scoped rifle.
Guess I'll be headin' up to Angeles soon as well. =)
I love hearing that Turbo. I researched a long time before I settled on a Howa, and still ended up having them build one for me rather than buying one off the rack.
Sweet, you'll love it.
Since you're not used to scopes I would do some research and make sure you understand them.
There is more to learn than meets the eye.
Besides becoming familiar with the scopes operation I like a book called "Dead On. The long-range marksmans guide to extreme accuracy" by Tony Noblitt and Warren Gabrilska. The principles and theory explanations are really good.
I'm heading out of town for a few weeks but I'm happy to throw a few rounds down range any time I'm not working.
Have fun.
