About to, hopefully. Thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and a 30% chance today, so we'll see how much racing we get in. We've got the track for tomorrow too so the worst thing would be we get put off for a day like we did last year.
Time for breakfast now, then off to the track.
It's raining a bit here in Whittier too. Probably not like it does in cans ***.
We had an awesome thunder storm this morning! the dog spent a few hours under the sofa! The waves on the beach were pretty big too... It was kind of nice to see!
Well, in a few hours I will be saddling up for my first day working as an EMT. I get to dive into the exciting world of roller derby! Actually, its a lot more interesting that I ever imagined, but maybe the cute girls in spandex shorts is giving me a biased opinion. Who knows..
Anyway! I get to treat bumps, bruises, sprains, and if I'm lucky, a broken bone But those are not to common.
I spent the weekend helping my neighbors move. I'm so tired! It would've gone much smoother if they had everything packed & ready to go, but they waited until the last minute & was packing boxes as we loaded the trucks. GRR!!! Made for a really long weekend, but atleast the big stuff is moved. Now they can move all the little stuff thier cars.
Went over to the painters shop on the way into work today to check up on the '61s progress.
It's getting its final primer wet sand.
As I'm yakking with Joe (the painter) I notice a shortbed dentside sitting against the fence, front end apart, cab stripped.
I asked what was up with it. He replied that the owner was low on funds and it's kind of in limbo.
Then inexplicably, with no room, no time, no money for it, these words came out of my mouth.
"Think he wants to sell it?"
I'll find out said Joe.
