Vintage License Plates Transportation California from classiclicenseplates on Ruby Lane
At work a few months back we were ripping out drywall an insulation and between the drywall and a layer of insulation we found a yellow 1953 license plate. We looked for the other but found just the one. If I had found both I would have sold them on eBay for about $100 but a lone plate is worth about $25 so I gave it to David and it's currently hanging in his room.

Took the 63 to get tuned up since it hasnt been since last year. Everything came back good except the advance.

The shop says that with the new motor and new exhaust im not getting enough advance on power to keep up with the motor (only getting 16 deg) so their recommended fix is swapping up to an MSD Pro-Billet distributor, MSD coil and MSD ignition wires.

So i guess its time to start saving up for new ignition

Too bad nobody has distributor machines any more...used to be a good shop could curve it to suit your needs. Change weights, a little tweak on the spring attach points and you were good to go.

What's a distributor? What a spark plugs used for?

Might have been off a trailer. I tossed a black/yellow plate in the trash when I moved house a few years ago. It was off of my own trailer which I had reworked and retitled. I sometimes regret having thrown things away over the years.
