Goodmorning guys.

Hope your Wednesday is going great!
I really gotta figure out how to slow some of these drivers on my street down. Granted I live in a Industrial area, but really? Everyone pretty much does 35mph in a 25mph, but I'm talking about the idiots in their lil' Honda racers, semi trucks, & especially the ones on their ninja motorcycles doing about 60-70mph! I swear these people think this is a 1/4 mile drag strip!
I tried to take a picture of the Honda racer yesterday, but he saw what I was going to do & took off from the stop sign (sideways I might add) & sped past before I could focus the camera on him. The Ninja guy (riding in shorts)...well, I don't expect to get a picture of him until he crashes, so I don't know what to do there other than motion for him to slow down. Hmm... maybe if I park Olfthfl outside the fence next to the street & open the door all of the sudden?! I mean this is ridiculous! My kids can't even play outside at the bus stop before or after business hours anymore.
Where's the cops when you need them? On shift-change that's where! These guys know they can get away w/ it too because by the time the cops get here, they're already at work. The cops need to witness it for themselves to be able to do anything about it. GRR!!!

Is it legal in your area to discharge a firearm?

4 words---- Home made speed bumps! side note .. make them very large I would slide a 10 ft 4X4 or two out into the street.. but attach a rope to one end using an eye bolt that way you can pull them back out of the street when the police show up to do the accident report!

It is amazing how far some of those little ricer cars can fly after hitting a 4X4 .... almost like a monster truck show!

Honest officer, I can't for the life of me imagine what happened! All I heard was a loud engine, then a few moments of silence.. then a big bang!

That sounds like entirely too much fun. Then again, a pretty girl earning beads on the side of a street like that might slow them down too.... ...although it'd probably increase traffic. Steve would find a way to make that part of his drive to work.
You could find one of the old police cruisers at auction and park it on the street with a cardboard person in it....

Anyone know where I can find a cheap 16" steel 8 lug wheel for a trailer. Need a spare and anything I need shows up on CL two weeks after I've paid too much elsewhere.

Hahaha...I like that idea & homemade too! Hmm... could even make my own speed bump spike strips!
Thanks for the idea.

LOL...thanks Rob, but I don't think that would work around here. My friend & I would get arrested for indecent exposure knowing my luck.
Would be fun to try. Might cause an accident though. Haha...can you imagine - half naked woman cause an accident & then running down the street to go treat the injured? What a sight!

*grin* That's not a bad idea.... you get rid of a few bad drivers... have a little fun... and no 4x4 splinters poking out of their oil pan as evidence....

Rob - Have you checked Reno's Craigslist?

I know my hubby is selling his 88 Chevy duelly & his 70 Ford stepside w/ lots of extras. (tires/rims, etc.) I know one set is bigger than the stock 15" rims - they may be 16's or 17's. I don't think they are trailer type rims though or does it matter? I'll have to ask him what size they are.
