I had meant the one of the left, but both look like they could use just a little buffing and would be factory perfect.
Now remember you cant just take a pic with an unidentified fender of an older truck or carand not expect to be asked about it...

Not a fire truck but this is the car he was talking about.

1955 Buick Special Club Sedan. While these were the official CHP Patrol Cars used in 1955 (and 1956), the chrome wheels, outside mirror and painted bumpers are incorrect.

"Chief Dan Matthews" (Broderick Crawford) drove a Buick in the TV show Highway Patrol in 1955/56.

In 1954, both the TV show and the CHP drove Oldsmobile's (same GM C body as the Buick), but the dealer that sold Olds' to the CHP in 1954 was outbid by a Buick dealer.

I don't recall the name of the Buick dealer that sold the CHP these cars, but I do recall the name of the Olds dealer...considering that my family owned it.

What the heck is that piped into the front bumper? Remote control water canon? Thus the brush tubes fend off wayward shrubbery and carry PhostrEx? Edit, that might zap the driver (ammonium phosphates).
