One of my more favored bodystyle trucks . Without looking at my list , using my fingers and my questionable memory I think I've had at least a dozen of them over the years .
Yup. I never knew what they called that body style; other than the best looking GM pickups ever. I had a ‘68 Chevy C-10 2WD w/ 396 &4.11 gears...........quick was an understatement!

My dad had a '71 GMC. Of all the trucks he had, that was my favorite. I agree, the best looking they've ever made.
A neighbor had a 72 gmc shortbox factory black , buckets and consul , ac , 402 ci big block which I had for a few days while considering buying it but decided not to . PS this was 30 years ago .
Posted on a Facebook page. Long past recoverable, unfortunately....
Did the post say where the truck was? It's got some crazy rust. I've never seen doors with holes above the window, yet the windshield hole and header seems spotless. While much of the sheet metal could be replaced from a good donor truck or parts, I'd be interested in seeing the condition of the rest of the custom coach-built extended cab, strictly from a curiosity standpoint.

South of Carlsbad NM, about as dry a place as exists. I googled Young Exploration, they were all over the SW. Some places have very alkaline soil that could cause that kind of damage.
That truck is sitting in Malaga, NM. I posted pics of it year ago. I think I took these pics in 2016. The last time I was through there (about a year ago) the trucks was still there.
