I was just thinking the same. And you are correct! I thought the headlight and trim looked familiar. And now that you said it, you can clearly see the IH fenders and hood shape.
I suspect any frontal protection has been removed along with the fender. Otherwise, what a waste, all that hardening of the rest of the vehicle and they left the radiator exposed, unprotected.
A vehicle from the 1940s would not have had suspended brake and clutch and a dished steering wheel.

I would probably haul it to the scrap yard. I just don't see anything there worth salvaging, but maybe I don't appreciate a custom vehicle when I see one.

And what sheet metal there is looks like no earlier than a 1957 IH
