Just bought this F600 from the original owner. 73k miles and needs a few things but runs like a top even after sitting for the last 5 years and 50 psi oil pressure.
It even had the original Ford Truck Owners Identification card in it. Appreciate any extra info you can come up with beyond what I have gleaned from all the other great posts.
F60 = F600 (gas).
A = 330 2V Medium Duty FT engine.

J = Rangoon Red.

Thanks for the great info. We know the owners and have the service records available on it and it hasn't rolled over yet. Was an orchard truck that ran 2 to 3 weeks a year then became a yard truck for a while at the warehouse. There it made runs of less than 3 blocks now and then. Just got to be too small for the operations and they run 40' flatbeds nowadays for about everything. They parked it because the brakes were intermittent. Supposedly work great first push of the pedal then brute force after that until she runs a ways. Sounds like a leak somewhere in the braking system vacuum so will throw a few parts at that to help it out. Got it started real quick today but couldn't drive it because tweakers stole the generator and voltage regulator. Gonna throw a GM alternator on it then roll it home on its road test.

Two different types of power brakes on these trucks. The parts do not interchange.
The master cylinder bolts to the power brake booster on the firewall.

It has the master cyl with the booster under the drivers seat on the frame. One of the hoses looks a bit questionable. A line hooked to the booster that has ridges and what looks like an outer layer and inner layer of shielding. After we get her home which is about a quarter mile will track down what is causing the brake loss. Or maybe before then do some brake work. The E Brake has been on for 5ish years so it might take a bit to break it loose. Or we could get lucky.

I just went and looked at the other VIN for the other F700. Now I don’t know if this is the original door or not. The truck has 3 different paint schemes going on. Where else could I find a vin on it? None of my trucks came with existing registrations or anything so that doesn’t help and the kids I got them from were clueless on them so here’s the vin:

thank you, this is very helpful. Sorry about the small picture, I did have the option to make it bigger but chose that one. They must have repurposed this truck, it now has a Clark transmission with a Muncie pto and an Eaton 2 speed rear axle
