Yo, NumberDummy! Want to express appreciation for most excellent info stream.
Unfortunately I have yet to find satisfaction in all the searched posts, therefore:
Vin#N60AU---
If "C" is the medium duty 330, and "D" is the heavy duty, and the previous owner claims it is this CID, then what? Is this a LIGHT duty 330?
C is the VIN engine code for the 330 2V Medium Duty, but only for 1966/78.
In your other thread, you said this VIN is wrong, but it's not, because you are unaware that Ford used different VIN engine codes in 1964/65, than they did 1966 and later.
It has a 6.6l 185hp motor in it, and I know the tranny has been changed to a Eaton 13speed. I run a hotshot in a 1 ton dodge but need a heavier drive axle and this truck is available. I've messaged a little bit with neverenufhp and have his thoughts about increasing the horsepower on the motor. The rear end ratios are what I'm really interested in.
Thank you.
NumberDummy: Do you have any info on the rear end gear ratios on this truck, and any other info would greatly be appreciated.
I have every Ford Truck Parts Catalog from 1928 thru 2001, so I can decode all the VIN info, codes from the Rating/Warranty Plates and the Certification Label first used in 1981.
If you need parts, obsolete or not, I can look up the numbers, then search for them on two online websites to see if anyone has them. Then will post the part numbers, sources that have them.
If the parts are still available, I will list the MSRP and the FTE member discount price offered by sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM (Ed Olson, parts manager of Horizon Ford in Seattle WA).
I've been doing this jazz on FTE since 11/04/2006. And, btw: One of the parts locator sites is only accessible to FoMoCo Dealers.

1964/72 F500/750 with 330 M/D & H/D; 361/391 with M/T use the same parts.

Yes.. I saw that Bill... I was working those numbers you provided to see who is making them.. Carpenter sells them but is waiting on stock.. so someone is making them.. its either Anchor or one of the other vendors. They are used in other applications other than Ford
As to the fitting.. that was super helpful.. I worked that number and came up with late model ford 300 vehicles that used my fitting
Here is an example
