Thanks for the info. I was able to contact Chelsea and with the info you provide about the.truck was able to come up with a solution. Thanks again for the info.
Was wondering, where is the best place to go online for engine parts for this truck? I need to order ignition parts, points, condenser, etc.. if I was looking in the regular parts stores, like rock auto, which only shows parts up to a f500, should they be the same parts as long as engine is the same?

Why buy parts on the internet and pay shipping charges when local NAPA and indie auto parts stores sell the same parts.

Get yourself some 'Cornbinder' parts catalogs (try: faxonautolit.com), then type the part numbers into PartsVoice.com & rearcounter.com.

Registration is required for PartsVoice, not so with rearcounter. Searching for NOS parts is free on both sites.

1948 thru 1989 Ford truck parts catalogs are available on CD's from hipoparts.com

Here are samples of illustration and text pages from the 1973/79 Ford Heavy Truck Parts Catalog:

Store located in Riverside CA .. Ed's not there on Saturday.

I know more about the Blue Ridge Parkway (it was closed north of Boone last time I was there) than I know about wiring, can look up the part numbers and that's about it.

Points/condenser/rotor/cap same: V8 1958/73 Passenger Cars/Trucks, 1966/73 Bronco's, 1969/73 Econolines, ditto 1974/75's without DuraSpark electronic ignition.

500 and larger series trucks with FT engines didn't come with DuraSpark. FT engines cancelled at the end of the 1978 model run.

Alright, NumberDummy, can I have you decode this one? E37AHCB2346

From what I know it's an Econoline built in 4/78 and shipped to Newmar Industries in Napannee, IN as an RV Cutaway.

How 'bout a 1997 F-800 VIN 1FTYF80C2VVA36955. Are any small parts available for the cab? Why is it so difficult to get parts for Ford trucks? No website I've visited so far supports an F-800 ):

U did it again. Spending my money. Ordered that CD of my truck glad you put that link up for those. Figure that is the best $27. I could spend.
Now I have that CD, Wiring Diagram, Spec book, 1987, 6.6 and 7.8 motor book. 1987 Shop and motor manuals Bod, Chassis and Electrical to look through also. Now If I could only read wiring digrams. These have to be in french as my redneck southern brain can't figure them out.
