Just had a sweet day I want like 600 daily and possible competition maybe this truck should be a daily not a comp truck. Im a wrench turner not a millionaire how hard is it to get 600 out of a 6.6 vs 360 ? Abd is the 360. A stronger block I'd compete for only exhibition the more I look at it class competition cost a fortune I don't have
It takes just as much to pull that power from either a 6.6 or a 360. The catch being, the 6.6 is just as long as a DT466, which is about 5" longer than a 360. The 360 will be the easiest to fit.
Any of those 3 can do it. Economy will eventually take a back seat at some point.
How about a shot of a 466 that didnt get the firewall chopped. They put the radiator in the bed.
Lol I could not finish my message cause my cell phone fritzed what mods is he running to get 2000 hp also what's his fuel milage and transmission and Xfer case I'm so curious
Wow, I'm shocked you know Frank's truck.
That truck has 2 big turbos, LOTS of fuel flowing, fire ringed head I'm pretty sure, and looks like water injection. The trans & transfer are probably specialty pulling parts(a reverser and a drop box). His is in no category of fuel economy. Not hardly streetable.
Well I told you I want to be a diesel mech and frank is what made me want to mane a kick *** truck but I want fuel daily driver exhibition pulling and to slay 95% of cars mainly mustangs and corvettes by fuel I mean good fuel Eco
So right from this point. U tell me Aaron buy this engine buy this tranny buy this Xfer case buy these turbo(s) and get ur *** building
I mean so the best engine and tranny and t case for the application I'm looking for is 360+10speed+divorced 205 or should I do something better and that's the cheapest I'm not even sure I wasn't 4x4
Your right and I like our basic platform I'm going to build it and keep u posted when I fm I have u on Facebook so ill keep u posted when I start Dale I have to pay q few debts off than I'm starting to collect and ya I'm going to keep it 2wd
Keeping it squirrely 2WD, not that that's a bad thing.
Ya know Aaron, I was actually taken back by your first post, about the Dmax. Thinking to myself, "here's a guy with a name like BuiltIHtuff, and he wants a Dmax". I believe you have been shown the light now. Not that I'm a Cummins, Dmax, or Powerstroke hater!
One of the guys on my Low Buck page actually corrected my thinking on injectors. Apparently the 7 hole injectors burn cleaner than the 5 hole that I recommended. So, a 7X14 is the magic ticket. In case I lost you, that's 7 holes with .014" opening per hole.
I Appreciate the onfor Dale and no u did not lose me I'm on pull off scrounging now I want to get all my stuff together and my *** in gear lol wish I made more money lol but ya man I'm pumped and it's all cause of u I'm also going to IH my truck logo on the front maybe the word international on the tail gate and a custom dt360 badge
If my wife worked, or didnt spend so much, I could be driving my DT466'd Super Duty right now. At least I think I make a decent wage. Just wish I had this job back when I was single. Back then, I was a Napa parts guy for $7 an hour. Here's a competition build related pic. It's a 76 Dodge Colt on an 83 S10 frame....a boonie basher. http://i565.photobucket.com/albums/s...p/THEdodge.jpg
I built it after getting out of the Army, while I was unemployed. I made good use of my free time. That Dodge made it on the "rear view photo of the month" in the October 1995 issue of Fourwheeler magazine.
Anyway... You should be able to find come badges easily enuf. Plus, you may just want to find a place to make a kustom one.
