FL sent me a bill today for turnpike use to the Keys and back to Orlando, $96.69. Ouch! I have a NC transponder that is supposed to work with SunPass, it didn't.
I need to replace my brake controller, it's an older Tekonsha, semi electronic, mainly analog. It offers a LED status light that changes from green to red depending on the intensity you have the potentiometer dials set at. And neither dial is labeled, so I can never remember which does what. The pot settings never really hold their setting either.
My question would be who is having solid performance from what brand and model. I'm sure they're all electronic by now, and I'm fine with an informative display over what I have now.

I vote for the Tekonsha P3. I really like the way it preforms.
I will call, first NC then FL. I know I will end up paying the full amount. Looks like the trucks transponder was picked up but the plate on the trailer was read, and the two don't match in the system. When I asked a few months ago NC told me that the plate wouldn't matter, just the transponder.
I like the voltage output display. I don't see pricing on their site, they must not sell direct. I'll check Amason, and other retailers.
I'm guessing the wire designation would be the same. Standard issue on colors/function.
Amazon seems to be the cheapest over ETrailer. I'm sold..

I called FL and NC. I can't do anything about this bill but both states said if you have a transponder the license number of the trailer needs to be listed on your account, even if temporarily. The systems match tag and transponder numbers for billing. Unfortunately NC only allows up to 5 tag numbers on the account and being that I have the max listed I will need to add and remove as needed.

At the very least, thanks for the heads up. I'll be adding my trailer tag to my account.

FYI.. I did calculate the difference between the transponder and bill by mail. On the trip we entered the Turnpike at Ft. Pierce and took it to Exit 0 US1. On the return trip we took it from Exit 0 US1 to I-4 in Orlando, the difference between pay by mail and the transponder was about $21.00
Does anyone have and/or has used one of these in the past? Looking for experiences using one to put a travel trailer in a parking spot up a 3-6 degree incline? My TT is ~7700lb and 1000lb tongue weight. I called the manufacturer and they say I am well within the ability of the device, it just scares me to think about having 7700lb coming down a hill towards me...

I put the 31' TT away last fall but apparently didn't get the awning dry enough before bringing it it.
I heard that tire whitewall cleaner will get rid of the mold/dark spots underneath the awning. If this is true, is there any particular brand (and larger quantity) I can buy to get this done properly and quickly?
