I guess I'm just blunt, but I'd have to ask why they were put so close, and frankly if it was a request for that site it might be a pre-planned/booked trip. If I was either of you I'd be asking for another site with NO people nearby.
I camp to enjoy family and friends and really need that quiet time when I'm away. Try this...walk over and say hi, and tell them they have to grill steaks for you since they chose to be neighbors
Which campground is this? We camp at Baileys point but it's booked solid through the summer so early spring and fall are best when the kids are in school.

It is a national forest campground, Grove cg just west of Corbin. They put themselves there. All these sites are first come first serve on this loop, camp in any site you want. We were leaving the next day, so it wasn't like it ruined the trip or they were even a bother. I just can't grasp why some feel the need to clump together no matter where they are when they could have picked a site where they couldn't see the next camper.
What a day. Drove the Ex and car hauler to Ocean City, MD this weekend. We left out on Thursday and the TPMS warned me of a trailer tire problem RR. We went to my buddy's shop and he replaced the tire. We made it to MD no problem. Fast forward to today. We left Ocean City and made it to Eastern NC, the TPMS alarm went off in Williamston, I found a nice place to pull off and replaced the left front with the spare. Onward we went. Closer to home the TPMS went off again, left rear going down fast. We limped to a open area an since the first tire that went down today still had air in it I put it back on. We were 20 miles from home so I drove to a Lowes store. Lowes did not have a tire the right size so we dropped the trailer, drove to a Tractor Supply 15 miles away, from there we went home, unloaded the stuff. I grabbed the camper spare, aired up both tires and then back to the Lowes. I replaced the tire, adjusted the wheel bearing and brought the trailer home.
The tires were off my camper when I replaced them with load range E Maxxis tires. China bombs, at least they didn't blow out.
What was the build date on those China Bombs? Mine only lasted 2 years and 29 weeks before they started to come apart internally, no blowouts here either, lucky.
I will have to check. The camper is a now a 3 year old 2017.
I am thinking about taking the 2 year old Maxxis 10 plys off the camper and putting them on the hauler since it doesn't see as many miles and weighs less and putting new Maxxis or Endurance tires on the camper. I am replacing the campers China Bomb spare before the next trip.
My camper spare is on one of those under body mounts, I would like to add a second spare, I need to see if I can add another one of those mounts.
Whats everyone running to replace their tires on their TT's? I've got the original factory tires from 2017 with about 1k miles on them but would like a real 10 ply on mine if I can find some reasonably priced.
I've got a Passport 31' TT,, and the axles are fairly close together also. Probably going to find stock size but a 10 ply. Where's a good source for these Maxxis?
Discount Tire sells them. They are made overseas but if you read the reviews they are a different breed all together. Many people are now buying Goodyear Endurance tires, I do not have any experience with them. The general rule is if there are dealers for tires they are a safer bet. The tires that failed on me were Constancys, good luck finding a brick and mortar dealer for them. There are also cheap trailer tires out there, you get what you pay for. Plan on replacing the tires every 5 years, worn out or not.
I got mine from etrailer.com. Taskmaster is the brand and I really paid attention to the speed rating. They are rated for something like 126mph. I've hauled them all over the northeastern US and the UP. Not one issue and they are super stable. Balanced and tire covers when not in use. I'm convinced that the biggest problem people have out of trailer tires is overspeed. The vast majority of trailer tires are low speed rating, even in the heavier load ratings. For me, the tough part was finding an appropriate load rating and speed rating in a 14" tire. If you have larger tires, the options open up a bit.

I doubt that they would work on your TT as you said the tires are somewhat close together, but I went overboard and went with 16" Load Range G Sailun S637 all steel radials. I still have enough room between them to use our X-Chocks. At the time of the tire swap I also installed the heavy duty wet bolt and shackle kit, swapped the factory 6 lug hubs for 8 lug ones with 50% larger bearings that fit the spindles (Dexter uses the same spindles from 5200lb, what we had, up to 7K axles) and new 8 lug 110 PSI rated wheels. 2.5 years and about 20K miles later the rear axle bent and had worn out the inner tread on the rear tires by the time we got home. The front axle tires are still looking nearly new with 20K on them. In August we swapped out the factory 5200lb axles for a set of 7K axles and new 7K springs and new brakes assemblies along with 2 new Sailuns to replace the damaged ones. These new axles are nearly twice as heavy as the old 5200lb axles, the tubes are waaaay thicker and will hopefully last for many years. I have scaled our TT at just shy of 12K and still plan to build a small rear hitch mounted platform to hold 2 small Honda genies and a marine fuel tank and am currently building a 2 bike and 2 kayak rack for the rear hitch, so it will have one or the other on the hitch for nearly every trip. The new heavier springs added about 2" to the TT ride height, I was able to flip my Hensley stinger over (4" offset) and mount it into the lower receiver tube on the TorkLift hitch to keep the TT riding level.

The build date on the bombs were January of 2016. 3 1/2 years + and they were toast.
