I am thinking carrying propane is safer than gasoline, especially when you do not have a pickup. Remote start would be nice but I can't get both in the Champion.

Ordered a Maxxis 10 ply tire for my camper to replace the China Bomb spare. I am looking at adding a second underbody spare carrier so I have 2 spares, just in case. The wife is all for it after blowing 3 tires on the hauler last weekend.
I have the dual fuel Champion. Has always run on propane.

It is amazing how much power we use in an RV.

The plan is to boondock in the cooler months, yes, I agree power has to be regulated closely.

I would like to do solar too but I can't figure out where to put the batteries, I have plenty of roof real estate for panels. Lithium are so dag on expensive we need to boondock with a gennie first and move up.

My Honda Eu2200i runs the 15000btu Coleman Mach with no problem. I installed the Micro-Air EasyStart on the AC to make startup easier. Before the EasyStart the genererator would run the AC but it struggled to start it on very hot days. Now I can run the AC and the Converter with no problems, even on eco-Mode. It will run it for about 51/2hrs on a little less than a gallon of fuel. I also got a 6gal extended run fuel tank kit so no getting up in the middle of the night to refuel. I'm very pleased with my setup.

I just put the two GC2 batteries on the tongue, they aren't even in a box. I bought a box but had fitment issues so I baled on the box.
Lithium is awesome but thee price is out of line at the moment.

Went To Ocean City ,Md the 10th to the 14th. Stayed at Frontier town. It was the Fall Cruise in OC. Had Nor'Easter storm out at sea. That and a full moon , we had a high tide Friday and Saturday, both morning and evening. About 6 inches deep on the patio.
Had to wear our water shoes to get to the Ex. Water was surprisingly warm.

The view from the living room.

Tide was a little high Friday morning.

Smoke, make sure to thoroughly wash the underside of both the EX and TT after driving in that saltwater.

Thumbs up

Trailer was easy, just the stabilizers and tongue jack was in the water. Didn't get high enough to get to the rims. By the time we pulled out the water was gone.
Truck was a different story. The road to the campsite was close to hub deep, and same way with the lower part of town. Some really nice classic cars were parked in the salt water. I hit the car wash before we left, but once home I laid on the ground and power washed underneath.

I was in OC too, didn't drive in saltwater with the Ex, the Chevelle drove on a damp road near Rt 50 bridge. We did not do the Boardwalk cruise, I was not going to drive my baby through sea water.

We were in town Friday night, headed towards the inlet, looked left towards de Lazy Lizard, cops had the street blocked because of the deep water. We could see the water running across the street in front of us Quick turned right at Somerset street, went back to 50 and went out of town. Next morning a couple others with cars, that stayed at the campground said they had to go back to the 90 bridge to get out. Water was to deep at 50. We stayed uptown saturday.
I took it real slow going through the water at the campground.

We stayed at 94th Street in a family members house, fortunately no water there but the Bay side had some over wash.

I bought a new Maxxis 10 Ply and had it installed for the camper's spare to get rid of the China Bomb, was a load range D and now it is an E. It is funny how breakdowns (car hauler blowing tires) can change the wife's priorities when it comes to towing, she now appreciates the need for good quality tires.

Leaving our camping trip Monday I had an issue bringing in the front slide. I had noticed some soft wood in the corner of that slide, looks like a good fall project.

I'm guessing the window wasn't totally sealed even though the exterior caulking looked good. Going to remove all the windows in the unit and reseal them all after repairing the framing.

Had to use a pontoon trailer to get my roof steel home. The morons at Menards couldnt figure out how to get it delivered. Very frustrated with this project because of things like this. People are so dumb.

I had a leak like this as well and figured out that the drains in the window sill on the outside were clogged. You couldn't tell from the outside, and really couldn't see it from inside either. The only reason I caught it was because I happened to see it leaking during rain and the sill (frame) was full of water on the outside. Small pocketknife to clean out the slot for the drain, and no more leaks. Worth a check!
